Rice Palace always had great food. Sunday buffet rotates between BBQ and Fried Chicken. This is the best fried chicken in town. Gumbo is always delicious. Hamburger Steak is unbelievable. Little pricey, but great food.

My title says it all. Smokers everywhere. Local cajun creole food is average. Other places nearby are often better. Chef Roy's in Rayne has better food, more variety, and very separate smoking area.

Enjoy the lunch buffet with old friends. The salad bar has a good selection of fresh items. Many of my friends enjoy the gumbo also. Usually 2 meats and several vegetables to select from. The staff is constantly checking the food and refilling as needed. There is never and empty item. Service is efficient. Dessert is available in the form... More

We eat her about once a month or so. There is a fantastic all-you-can-eat salad bar which always has gumbo and a soup of the day. I've ordered several items from the menu, but the Reuben sandwich is my favorite. Instead of French fries, try the grilled red potatoes. They are delicious. The shrimp poboy is loaded with extra shrimp.... More

The daily lunch buffet is excellent. Actually the entire menu is excellent. Tried the fried eggplant appetizer and loved it. The seafood dishes are really good. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent service by Sandra. The food was amazing. This is a truck stop but some of the best food ever. I will be back, in fact it was so good we may make a trip there just to eat.

Very good buffet. It was a little smokey. Kim, our waitress, was absolutely wonderful! We would definitely eat there again!

We made an unexpected stop at Rice Palace for breakfast. We hadn't planned the stop but were caught in a nasty thunderstorm. Just before the exit we noticed a big parking lot and it looked like easy on and off to the freeway for our motorhome. We ordered breakfast and since we were drenched from the rain one of the... Traveling to Lake Charles we stopped for breakfast. Found the menu to be quite extensive for an out of the way place. Omelet was fresh, light and came with enough hash browns and toast to feed a small army. Also tried the biscuits and gravy and have to say it sure beats the chain places where the gravy has that...
