We really enjoyed the Christmas tea!
Our server, Michael was excellent- very knowledgeable about all the different teas available.
Also, the decorations were beautiful and the food delicious!
Fun, festive atmosphere!
This place is very unique. It is busy, loud to a certain extent being just a buzz. It has history, modern history, takes you back to a time of relaxed afternoons. It also has a choice of medicinal teas that you beg to try because...they are all great! The food is wonderful and the soups are beyond compare. Try it, you will not have another experience like it. It is delightfully different.More
Tim and Jan are terrific hosts. They always make us feel welcome, including our handicapped son, Allan.
The food is delightful. Just like we enjoy when we go to England.
My wife was born in England. She, our daughters, and all their friends enjoy the...sights, sounds, and tastes of The English Tea Room. I enjoy the egg salad sandwiches, beef pot pie, and love the scones.
Don't miss it. It's terrific.More
Very nice place for a scrumptious meal. My husband and I, who are from out-of-town, dropped in during the middle of a busy lunch. The owners made us feel welcomed and found a table for us. There was a musician playing a soft electronic piano...and at points had the restaurant sing along poignant songs.
We ordered the Windsor High Tea. Everything was delicious and filling. We couldn’t finish all the tasty treatsMore
A delightfully charming atmosphere. Very cozy. A great place for special occasions or to just hang out with friends. The tea menus is very extensive (over 200 teas!) but never fear, their staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect one for...your taste. If you find a blend you like, they make it available for you to take home too! Wonderful place. I especially liked the Winston Churchill room!More
We celebrated my daughter's 13th birthday at The English Tea Room last weekend with Ethan as our server. What a wonderful experience! We had 7 people and I had notified the restaurant ahead of time about my little niece's nut allergy. One of my adult...guests asked about gluten-free (no advance notice) and without batting an eye Ethan brought her a gluten-free tea service including finger sandwiches! They handled these special requests like pros. The food was amazing and plentiful. I also ordered a birthday cake for my daughter which was beautiful and delicious. The venue is small, but cozy and intimate. We loved every moment of it and my daughter had a very special birthday.More
I visited as a birthday treat for a relative. We made reservations - and I was glad we did because it was very busy. Despite the crowd, we never felt rushed. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch of delicious salads and the best scones ever. The...tea was good as well - and there are hundreds of choices. The service was so friendly. The owner gave my niece a gift for being good. The waiter told us that adding milk to fruit tea curdles it. So we learned something new. This is a wonderful little spot in beautiful old Covington. The ladies next to us were dressed in vintage clothing and tiaras. They were having tea before seeing Downton Abbey. I kind of want to go back just to do that!More

I would call ahead to schedule a date I was told that one of the side rooms can accommodate large groups. I've been there while wedding showers and baby showers were going on. They seemed to have more than enough room. I know Saturday they are open but I don't think they are on Sunday's. I would give them a call and see but I'm pretty sure they can work with you. Congrats and best of luck to the bride and groom 😄
