This is a classic new Orleans restaurant located in Covington. The new Gallagher's in Mandeville is perhaps even a bit better. I think it is 527 or some number which is simply the street address. The appetizer sampler is great and can be considered a meal, crab cake, crab meat revigot, & shrimp ramalaude.

Finally was able to make it here and what better way to celebrate 40 years together. We started off with the Eggplant Orleans appetizer which is fried eggplant with a crabmeat and creamy sauce. Four pieces provided enough for two. Next came Turtle Soup with sherry which was excellent and a house salad with blue cheese dressing. Unless I missed... More

Enjoyed dinner with another couple. The steaks were delicious-tender and perfectly cooked. Lemon fish was a bit "fishy", wouldn't recommend. By far, the best meal at the table was the pompano with lump crabmeat on top. The standard menu is solid. White chocolate bread pudding capped off a lovely evening. Seasonal menu is definitely where you will find some delicious... More

Filet is incredible!! Started with crab cakes which were also very good. Great service and steak is brought to the table sizzling. Will be back no question about it

The food is very good and service was great but the environment is loud. Nothing to absorb sound so you hear everyone talking, clattering of dinnerware etc., otherwise a nice experience.

Food is always flavorful and fresh. Get the turtle soup, best in area. The bread pudding is a must and is easily enough for two.

If you want a great steak, this is where you need to go. The bone on filet is a real treat! I love the quail and have never had it any better anywhere! My husband and I love the casual, yet very attentive atmosphere. The service is excellent and the sidecar cocktail is the best ever!
