All four of us enjoyed delicious steaks. The sides sweet potato casserole ,artichoke and spinach ,broccoli and asparagus were plentiful and delicious. Servings were plentiful. The atmosphere wasively although somewhat loud
The ultimate steak! Gallagher’s is undeniably the best steak in town! Sides are incredible and atmosphere is pleasant but the best thing to do is sit at the bar and eat there. Great conversations to be had!
Fine dining done well!! Service is attentive but not intrusive. Food is excellent from appetizers to desserts you will not be disappointed. Outstanding mouth watering steaks, fresh seafood with sauces that compliment the dish and great presentation. You will be treated to a wonderful dining...experience and made to fell like family. Our server (Patrick) explained all the options and specials and kept up with our needs even though it a crowded Friday night. One of the premier restaurants in Covington Louisiana.More
The steaks are very good indeed, but this being a fine-dining restaurant in SE Louisiana, it should go without saying, that there's a decided Creole influence to several of their dishes. The pecan-encrusted catfish Meuinere was easily the best catfish I've ever had in my...life. My charming companion's filet was also extraordinary (normally I don't share in restaurants, but my arm was gently twisted, andt trying a bit from each other's plate is a rewarding exercise in Gallegher's. Good wine list; excellent desserts. Top notch kitchen is equalled by top-notch service. I only gave Gallagher's five stars--if I could have given over five, they'd have gotten an entire galaxy. p.s. TA asked me some very strange questions upon completion of my review: is Gallagher's a "hidden gem"? Can't be that hidden: every table was taken when we were there. Is Gallagher's good for bar scene? No, swinging singles out to find new friends, catch NBA games on wide-screen or shoot a few games of pool would need to go else. Does Galligher's serve "bar/pub food"? I don't believe pub grub includes filet mignon, Colorado lamb chops off the rack, or even turtle soup. But in a spirit of reciprocity, Gallagher's refrains from serving nachos or chicken wings, in order not to cut into the pubs' turf.More
We made reservations to visit this fine dining restaurant. Our waiter this evening was Patrick. A friend of mine who suffers from Parkinson's like symptoms requires assistance from myself and restaurant staff members. Patrick went out of the way to assist us. My friend had...a cup of Gumbo to start, and an eleven ounce filet with baked potato side. I had seafood this night. The steak was tender and my friend enjoyed the baked potato. I started my meal with an avocado stuffed with crab salad. I got to meet Andrew as well another guest had written about in a Trip Advisor review. My drawbacks were about parking and some very noisy guest who had a little to much to drink perhaps. Still would highlt recommend.More
Especially great because I had read online that they had lamb chops, but they were not on the menu separately. Queried Andrew and he said they always had them, so I ordered and they were perfect. Every diner in our group of 4 had delicious,...well presented meals. And the service was impeccable. Our bottle of champagne was immediately iced and poured as soon as our glasses neared halfway full.
Husbands were delighted with large, yummy desserts. Our guests were from California and we will definitely bring future visitors here!More
Had a business dinner and was very impressed with the service. The food was good quality but there were some minor issues. The gumbo was underwhelming and the steak was extra salty. The sides were quite good, especially silly the spinach/artichoke dish. I still think...the meal was above average but not enough to rate a 5.More
