Thank you for a great lunch - well worth traveling from Lymington. Great location for walkers and the pie to share was divine (added bonus is caters well for my large appetite and wife's smaller!) Great decor, friendly staff, clean loos etc. We'll be back. P&E

We have had many a good meal at the Rockingham, as a family group, business meals, as a couple, lunches, dinners and all have been absolutely fantastic. Totally unique is the shop which is crammed with wonderful things; the table mats, glasses, some pictures, decorations from within the pub can be purchased, what an amazing idea!

We haven't been to the rockingham arms for at least a year, since then it's been completely renovated and a new owner. I thought the previous pub was good, but it's now on another level, really an excellent restaurant and bar, including a gift shop in part of the old dining room. The decor is lovely, a mixture of town... More

This restaurant has a lot going for it, with staff being its best asset. Location isn't very pretty, but the building itself is quite nice. Interior and decoration are nice, there is stylish pub feel inside and nicely dressed tables. On the negative side, they do squeeze tables in quite tightly so the feel is a little cramped with the... I recently rang to book a table and the lady I spoke to was very abrupt and swift as though it was all too much for her, which has ultimately, put me off visiting this pub. I rang to book a table for a Friday night or possibly the Sunday lunch time. As I asked about the Friday night I... More

Nice welcome. Managed to grab what looked like the last table. Place was busy with a great vibe too. Meal was timed well, tasty and well presented. Lovely food. Lovely pud. Good latte to follow. Well done to the Rock! Don't miss the gift shop. Could have spent a fortune in there!

Second visit this year and once again the food, service and ambiance were great. Food is probably on the expensive side for a pub but this place is pitching at the bistro gastro pub market and is more like a restaurant than conventional New Forest pub. Really nice place to go highly recommended.

Unusually, our three adult daughters were home together from various far flung parts of the UK. My husband and I had had supper, with friends, at The Rockingham some months before and were impressed by the food and the general ambience of the place. As it was fairly local, we decided to go for supper there with our daughters. I... More

Amazing how this mediocre pub has been turned around into a wonderful, warm Inn. The food is delicious, EXCEPT for the re-heated stale bread! Not quite the home-made bread made famous by Gordleton Mill, the owners previous business. The surroundings are lovely and inviting and the wood burners a great finishing touch, good wine served in beautiful glasses, staff are... More
