No matter where you travel to, it's always great when you manage to find "that" place. Where the locals go to eat the real deal local cuisine, rather than the places designed to catch tourists with bells and whistles and such. Poche's is that place! So very not fancy or the least bit pretentious, but guaranteed to knock your socks... More

Ate here on our first night in Breaux Bridge, we were the only ones there. Went for the crawfish etouffee which was tasty but the whole meal was really little more than fast food. As I said it was OK for a quick meal, just don't expect too much. Staff were friendly.

Little market in the front and nice big sitting area in the back. Cafeteria style serving and family seating. The etouffee' is delicious and if they are serving fried catfish, you will find none better in my opinion. Make sure and get some cracklin's to go...as the sign says "It's all good from the rooter to the tooter."

this is still a hangout for local clients, the food is good, the service is a steam table pick your order. what has happened with all the ads about the good Cajun food is the quality has gone down and the price up in most Cajun restaurants, but not here @ Poche's.

Stopped by on my way from Houston to Boston for a little Cajun cooking. It did not disappoint! Food served cafeteria style. Lots of variations of catfish and crawfish. I had the Seafood combo and wifey had baked catfish. Portions were generous - we saved the leftovers and had another complete meal. This was my second favorite meal on the... More

This isn't a review of the restaurant, which is large and serves buffet style and gets great reviews. We stopped to check out the market and it was great. We bought a turducken stuffed with crawfish and shrimp for Christmas. They gave us an insulated travel box, which we used as one of our checked bags go get home a... More

Just last week my husband, Charlie and I decided to eat at the famous Poche Market & Restaurant. Charlie enjoys eating a good buffet and Poche's buffets are great. I decided to have baked chicken, white beans, and potato salad. Charlie enjoyed Poche's rice dressing, potatoes and sausage, and baked chicken. I decided that the food was delicious, yet the... Louisiana is the place for a good plate lunch or plate of food. The food that I ordered did not disappoint in the least. I left full with cash left in my pocket.

My dad has lived in Louisiana for 30 years we stopped at this place every single time we come to visit, it is a staple in the community. The food is always great and the specialty meats are wonderful, if you love Cajun food this is where you need to go!

Looking for a quick lunch while driving through on I 10, this place hit the spot! You can eat in at the little restaurant or order from a little hallway next to the register and get it to go. Smoked chicken and pork steak were worth the short drive from I 10.
