The Small Things

I came from Houston to stay with family for the weekend. I asked where the best Chinese food was in the area. They sent me to other places but after the long drive from TX I wanted something close. I saw a few excellent reviews and decided to try Lins. Ordered the General Tso lunch special to go. When placing my order the service was good and the food was ready when I arrived to pick it up. The to gi bag was stapled shut and I decided to wait until I got to the family home before opening it. The food was not really hot just a bit above warm. They did not provide utensils or any condiments. No soy sauce, hot mustard, Sriracha...nothing. On top of that the chicken was overcooked and dry. The rice was not moist however the fried dumpling and the egg drop soup were delicious. They can do better, would recommend for the dumplings and soup.

Stupid Corona Virus Out of Business

This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for years. The food was really good and consistent. I tried to call yesterday and there was no answer and today the number is disconnected. The people who ran the business were really friendly and had become special to us. Don't know about the Airline Drive but I hope it has survived.

The food was great. I was surprised and it was different from the other Lynn's I frequent, not to knock them. I hadn't eaten there due to having a Lynn's by my last house but this one was better .

So Disappointed

Sadly, the restaurant isn't NEAR what it used to be. I used to LOVE Lin's and would have it at least once a week. I worked out of town for 6 years so I wasn't able to easily grab it on the way home. Anyway, I ordered lunch today and I'm so disappointed in my food. I got the Orange Chicken lunch meal. The chicken is super rubbery and tough, the sauce is thicker than jelly and my shrimp egg roll had one shrimp. I'm not sure what happened to the DELICIOUS food they used to serve, but I wish they would rethink what's going on in the kitchen. This is a big disappointment.

Quick cheap. Has what I''ll call the standard American Chinese menu items. Their shrimp eggrolls are very good. Everything you order comes with a lot of food. Shrimp dishes have large shrimp. There are 4-6 booths if you want to dine in. Most people just get take out.

Lin's Kitchen III is operated by the same person who owns Lin's Kitchen on Shed Road in Bossier City as well as Lin's Kitchen II in Benton, LA. We have been patronizing Lin's Kitchen for years and the food is always freshly prepared to your specifications. We had their lunch special which consisted of your choice of soup, egg roll or crab rangoon; either fried or steamed rice and a large portion of the entree, all for $5.95. We had Shrimp with garlic sauce and Beef Szechuan, both of which were very good. The soup was hot and tasty and the accompanying crispy noodles were perfectly fried. My wonton soup had three large wontons and was very filling.The entrees had a lot of beef and shrimp, with crisply stir-fried vegetables and the sauce was just the right consistency with good flavor. We will definitely return - just wish it was closer to our home.
