I cannot recall a time when I have visited a bakery quite like this one. The diversity of goods was marvelous. We had a delectable brunch (sausage, egg & cheese croissants) before we made our take-home order for the rest of the family. We came away with Bavarian cream mini-cheesecakes, turtle cheesecakes, an assortment of petit fours, enormous cinnamon rolls,... More

I ordered 2 cakes from here for 2 different parties. Both were amazing! They offer a 16x22 cookie cake for around $30. Can't beat that. Ordering online was super easy.

Tired of hotel microwave eggs, I decided to try out the place. I asked what was their signature sandwich, and the egg and bacon on croissant was recommended. A choice of grits or hash browns for a side. The croissant sandwich was nice, not too greasy. Bacon crispy but not burnt. A 5-star sandwich and the hash browns were some... More

I am so sorry to say I did not have a good experience here. The staff was rude and seemed frustrated at all the people. I got a tiramisu mousse cup...it was awful. Little taste and felt like dried rubber. The chocolate cup was the only good part. It's too bad...this bakery has great cakes but the to go treats... More

I'm hooked on Ambrosia Bakery! What I love about it is the overall atmosphere. I usually go for breakfast and I love the croissants. There are a number of menu options and they are all very good. The ladies that assist you make you feel like you're sitting down at their breakfast tables in their own homes. They are very... More

This is my second time to stop here for the strawberry cake. It is the best strawberry cake that I've ever had. It is not too sweet and very moist. The best ever!!

Yes, the quesadilla is superb! The cakes are great too... But go for lunch! However, don't go if you are in a hurry. The kitchen takes awhile, especially if it's busy. I was unexpectedly surprised by the deliciousness of the shrimp quesadilla- now it is a must when I go! The employees are pretty nice. The place is small though,... More

We went ambrosia for a king cake. It was our first time there and the ambiance was amazing! The lighting was romantic, and the displays were beautiful. It was our first time purchasing a king cake from ambrosia, and it was great! We went on lundi gras and it was busy, they had stopped baking king cakes to put out... More

Ordered two wedding cakes (bride and groom) and both decorated incorrectly. I failed to say anything at pickup for these three reasons: Traffic in store was extremely busy due to Mardi Gras, didn't want to make a scene in store, and most importantly, I had a wedding in two hours and needed cakes for the bride and groom. So, immediately... More

We were in Baton Rouge during Mardis Gras and we did a little research on where to get a King Cake to take back home. We wound up at here and it was worth the effort. We got a piece of strawberry cake that was outstanding and ate some of the King Cake two days later. It was excellent as... More
