My husband and I went there to celebrate our 42nd anniversary and were so disappointed. I had ordered the Pontchartrain and I should have sent it back. It was very salty and the fish was burned on the bottom. All I could taste was salt...and burned crust. My husband had ordered the Louisianne and his was good. I had asked for an extra cup of hollandaise sauce and never got it. Very slow service so I did not want to have another dish prepared. Also we ran out of water and the waitress did not refill the pitcher. If you go to an upscale restaurant you expect them to notice these things. We usually go to Mansur's and are never disappointed but wanted to give Lagnaippe a try. Will stick with Mansur's for sure!More

So loud you could not hear across table. Restaurant becoming very dated and service is poor. Server are rude and always seem to be in a hurry. Best bet is to try Marina Cafe or Louis Louis.

The best and even better that they allow reservations now! We love the Tournedos. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We stay in Baton Rouge on our Texas/Florida road trips just so we can eat her! Loved everything we’ve had! Good portions. Everything is delicious. Worth the wait.

We had an excellent meal with great service. We decided to share an appetiser and chose the boudin balls as we had not yet tried this local speciality. The portion size was generous - enough for two - and they were very tasty. We then...both had a fish dish - Louisianne and Pontchartrain respectively. Both were excellent and the portions were enormous. Anthony, our waiter, was very helpful assisting our choices. Highly recommended.More

Excellent seafood and even better service from Frank. Our eggplant Pontchartrain appetizer was late coming out and Frank took it off our bill. We told him that was not necessary but he insisted Next time in Baton Rouge we will definitely be back.

My husband & I really enjoy the food, but after we have waited an hour and a half to be seated, a fair amount of the pleasure eating here is gone. On Our last visit on a Friday night, we arrived at 5:45 pm assuming...we would beat the crowd- wrong- we put our name on a list and were told it would be an hour and a half wait. We waited in the bar with what seemed liked at least 50 other people. There are a few bar tables and a few bar stools, but mostly folks stand elbow to elbow jocking to get the bartenders attention for a drink. After 30 minutes we were able to sit on two bar stools and ordered dinner to be eaten at the bar. Sure enough, an hour and a half after our arrival, our name was called for a table. We had just finished a very crowded dinner at the bar counter. We really do enjoy the sensation salad & the the oysters Laginappe(baked oysters topped with crabmeat dressing), but not enough to fight the crowds.More

Great food and great service. Definitely try one of the specials. Sat a high top in the corner near bar so I could order right away. Good choice. Restaurant was crowded so ended up with a nice quiet corner. Food was EXCELLENT, very fresh and...created with a lot of care. My server was great too with explaining the menu and specials. Had the seared yellow fin tuna and grilled shrimp special.More
