Went for dinner and had fajitas for two. The portion was large and prepared well. Very large steak and chicken. Salsa and chips was fresh and tasty. Reccomend.

Country music in a Mexican restaurant doesn't set the mood. Service was good. Salmon salad's dressing was tasty, but salmon was rubbery, over-cooked. Taco salad ground beef was pulverized with no texture, shell was greasy. Not the best meal and certainly not the best Mexican.

We had planned to stop at a breakfast place that was highly rated on TA for brunch. It was out of the way and getting to be lunchtime so we found this in the "near me now" feature. Big mistake. It is located in a shopping center with several abandoned restaurants. Tex Mex ambiance. I ordered chicken enchiladas. I am... More

Nothing fancy but it's a great restaurant if you just want to eat at a classic sit-down restaurant. Price ranges from $8-$25.

I go almost once a week to get my Mexican food fix to the Las Palmas on Highland Road. I love the crispy hot chips, spicy tasty salsa and the frozen margaritas. The tamales are very good. My favorite dish is the Camarones Pacifica which are shrimp stuffed with peppers and cheese and wrapped in bacon and then grilled. The... More

We were staying in a hotel off Exit 7, I-12 in Baton Rouge. Dining choices are limited, but we were extremely happy with Las Palmas. We had the Shrimp Bravo dinner, and the Shrimp Fajitas. Both entrees were excellent. Portions were large, shrimp were super, and service was very friendly. LOTS of fresh grilled vegetables came with the shrimp bravo... More

We just went there last night. (We live nearby so go there fairly often). The service was very good, but the restaurant was almost empty between 5:45 and 7:00 pm. If you know Baton Rouge restaurants most are pretty much packed during that time even on a weeknight. The margaritas were excellent, as were the chips and salsa. I got... More

I've given this Las Palmas 3 tries, but have left disappointed each time. While the service is fantastic, and the food is good-- compared to other Mexican restaurants, this one seems overpriced for the quality of food they serve. The fajitas taco salad was very plain/ bland as was the salsa. However, The chips were fresh and served warm and... More

Stopped in on our way home from a youth mission trip with 28 teens and adults on a Friday night - no problem! They seated us very efficiently and our server was great. The Carna Asada Combo is enough to share but you won't, it's delicious. Menu is slightly higher than most Mexican Restaurants but well worth it. Will definitely... More

The desk clerk at the Quality Suites recommended this restaurant. After our long trip up from SW Florida, we were bushed and needed a good meal and a cold beer before we hit the hay to finish the trip to Houston tomorrow. Perfect suggestion. The beers were indeed cold and the food was excellent. The salsa was nice and spicy.... More
