I have been to other Hibachi restaurants before and this was one average at best. The chef's display of skills was nothing great and the food was simply, ok, slightly overcooked in all cases. We had the most absent minded waitress who literally forgot something every time she came back. She missed my wife asking for something 3 times. My... More

That's right! This restaurant has superb sushi and also some decadent desserts. On a very rainy Baton Rouge evening we ducked in there to sample their soup and sushi but gave in to temptation. Try it.

Entree of Chicken Teriyaki was huge. Had to use a to go box. That being said food at best was mediocre. Teriyaki sauces was diluted, watery like with little flavor. Green teas was served in a coffee cup and was Luke warm. Service while friendly and attentive was slow coming from the kitchen. Chicken was tough. Something that surprised me... More

First time at this type of hitachi restaurant, but definitely will not be my last. Service was on spot for the most part. On the other hand, the food more than makes up for anything else. My recommendation is the shrimp hitachi.

This is our go-to place around town for great, fresh, well and uniquely prepared Japanese food. The Salmon with the eel sauce is a favorite. You can't go wrong.

My youngest child turned 9 this week and the hibachi chef made him feel very special for his birthday. He also loves scallops so it was a big treat for him. My other child is a very picky eater and devoured the hibachi noodles and shrimp. It was an enjoyable outing for the entire family.

Aside from one long meal on a Sunday at the Hibachi, this has been our consistent go to for sushi and we pretty much sit in the front sushi bar area. Like the vibe, service is good, sushi and rolls fresh, tempura app nicely done and drink selection is good in the beer range. With a fair amount of sushi... More

Very fresh, very tasty sushi. I had the snowcrab salad which is best in town. The tuna sashimi was delicate and very fresh. And it was happy hour with Ichiban draft beer which is hard to find.

I've been to just about all the other places in town, this one is the best hands down. Gets really crowded on weekends,be prepared to sit very close to other people if you are seated in the back of the restaurant. I have never had the Hibachi but I have heard that it is very good.

My favorites include the Ichiban roll, fire in the hole (very spicy with fresh jalapeños), and the baked salmon appetizer (shown in pic). Oh and the Apple Martinis aren't horrible :-)
