Mansion Lacour is our very favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. And since we travel all over the world, maybe our favorite in the world. The food is just superb as is the service. It is a very intimate setting and such a lovely French yellow color. We enjoyed all of our favorites, escargot, and steak au poivre. It was a... More

Set in a picturesque old house, under southern oak trees in an idyllic setting, this little French treasure is one of the finest restaurants known to this old Physician, who has travelled the world. Starting with the house made pate, on to excellent escargot, soups and salads, to my personal favorites, of Pompano en Papillote, New Zealand rack of Baby... More

My aunts and adult girl cousins had lunch here over the holidays. We made reservations for 11:30 and were the first in the restaurant. The food was excellent, good wine selection, good service. The different small rooms allow for a private feel while dining. I would return, but on a side note: this is not a restaurant for children.

I have never had a bad meal here. All of the food is prepared with skill and love in this family run French restaraunt. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is in an old family house and the service makes you feel as if you were dining in a French family inn on the outskirts of Paris. Unusual for this area, the dishes include duck, venison, and even boar. All manage to offer a touch of South Louisiana without loosing their authentic French quality. The simple house salad... More

I've been to Maison Lacour over 30 times over the years, from celebrating events with my family when I was a child, to annual office Christmas lunches, to romantic dates with my wife. Without a doubt, it is the most consistently excellent upscale dining experience in Baton Rouge. The food is always excellent, and the service is superb. The waitstaff... More

Literacy and Civics met at Maison Lacour to staff Christmas stockings for our project for Youth Oasis and have lunch. The restaurant made it easy for us to do our work and had a fantastic lunch. We really Enjoyed the restaurant, meal and our volunteer work.

The French bread started the meal off wonderfully. Cream of Brie with Crab is sooo good! Lemon Chicken was very good. I was a little disappointed in the Louisiana Lust dessert. Service was excellent for our group.
