We wandered over here from our hotel sat night. Got the quesadillas and chicken burrito to go. Wasn't crazy about the quesadillas. The burrito was good but tortilla too thick and not enough filling. However, their chips and salsa are delicious. Did not like the house margarita. However the bartender and wait staff were very friendly and enjoyable to speak... More

Food is good here, especially the nachos. Some of the best margaritas in the city. A bit larger than similar restaurants in the area

On The Border is your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. I find the salsa to be pretty spicy. Even more so than the actual "Mexican" dish you may order. I used to come here a lot but not so much since I've found other more authentic Mexican restaurants. Overall, the food isn't bad. Typical food. Typical prices. Typical atmosphere. It's not that... Had dinner here, forgetting it was International Taco Night. Got there after the dinner rush and the place looked disastrous. Lots of empty, but dirty tables, piled high with dirty glasses, plates and leftover food. WIthin about 30 minutes they had things back in order and the seating areas were clean again, and staff got caught up to their 'usual'... More

Good location just off of I-10 on Citiplace Court. Restaurant is clean, server seemed overwhelmed / busy. Chips and salsa are complimentary. Chips are really good and not greasy. Salsa is Ok. Ordered the spinach, mushroom and corn quesadillas with jalepeno - they are very good! Suggest you try them. I will return!

The restaurant had a sports documentary piped all through the restaurant, very annoying. Pipe it into the bar but not restaurant. Service was good. I had Superior dinner which included black beans-cold, cheese enchilada- good and hot, sour cream chicken enchilada- cold, large beef taco- good and small chimichanga was ok. Plate was hot and cold depending on item. Wife... More

The On The Border is our town is pitiful. Thank goodness this one is the best of the bunch we've eaten at. Decor is very nice. Food is the best we've had in an OTB. Manager visited us and we passed that on. Service was above average. I had Enchiladas Suizas which is a telling tale because these were excellent.... More

Our "lunch bunch" - a group of 8 to 10 friends - dines in and around Baton Rouge once each week. This was our first time to try On The Border. For a chain Tex-Mex restaurant, the food was good but not exceptional. The chips, served with salsa, were overtly and non salt chips were not available in the restaurant.... More

If you miss eating great TX-MX food you should go to On the Border: fresh tortillas, awesome guacamole, great serving staff. I had the chix enchiladas with tomatillo sauce with black beans. Yum. My husband had the delicious Wed chix fajitas special and the plate was too much for my husband to eat.

Went to this restaurant when we visited Baton Rouge. The wait staff was decent and they waitress was really nice. The food though is mediocre at best. The meat sauce that was put over the enchiladas tasted like Wolf Brand chili and was not appetizing. Also the food overall was kind of bland without any real flavor to it. The... More
