Visiting Baton Rouge for a wedding weekend, checked out for lunch. Charbroiled oysters were good & fresh. Gumbo was hearty and tasty. My favorite was the black drum Ponchartrain, fish was prepared well with plenty of crab. Also yummy white chocolate bread pudding!

Very good food and service. Great balance of taste, not heavy. Authentic and decent prices. Not a place to be missed.

I must preface the review by saying that I'm in the minority here. Most people I know like this place but it does seem to cater more to tourists. As stated here, the easy access on and off for I 10 makes it an easy stop for people driving through. And it definitely isn't fast food. Just too many fried... More

Everything we had here was absolutely delicious. We had the Eggplant Pontchartrain and charbroiled oysters as an appetizer and WOW!! All the entrees were just as wonderful, and the homemade vinaigrette was awesome. The atmosphere and staff were also top notch. We will definitely be back here in the future!

Like so many stories of going to Parrain's Seafood Restaurant in Baton Rouge we too were on a road trip from Houston. Since I abhor fast food I checked TripAdvisor to see if there were any restaurants near the interstate. Expecting to find the usual "four food groups" (BK, McD, KFC, TB) we were surprised to find the great reviews... More

Amazing food and beverage service is extremely important for that this is the place to be. I been here a few times and each time is the same. Great food and service and drinks from bar is a high five.

The place to be the night before an LSU home game. After a wait of about 45 minutes, we enjoyed Boudin Balls, crab stuffed mushrooms chargrilled oysters and much more. Everything was good. Service was a bit slow but they were very crowded. The seafood was very fresh and they even catered to our friend with a shell fish allergy.

Probably the most authentic Cajun food in Baton Rouge. The downside is that Parrains is no longer a secret, so expect a wait and some tricky parking

All oyster lovers will enjoy the variety at Parrain's. A good sports bar, with typical south Louisiana seafood. Mostly fried, but a good variety. Popular and generally packed ast night.
