If you are visiting Baton Rouge from out of town, The Chimes is a stop you won't want to skip. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly place to experience the taste of delicious Louisiana seafood, or you're wanting a new "go-to" brunch spot, The Chimes has it all. Additionally, they have a wide variety of beer on tap. The location... More

The Chimes is a great place for a cold beer or drink. It also has a great menu of unique Cajun influenced dishes. Right at the gates of LSU. Always a stop here when I am in town.

The food here is always delicious! One of my favorite appetizers is the sautéed crab fingers. You can get them fried but if you want something extra special, the ones sautéed in garlic butter are the best to me.👏🏻😘😁 If you are a beer aficionado, they have beers from around the world. If you like Sunday brunch, they serve some... More

When family visit, The Chimes on Highland is one of the first places they want to go. All four of my children have their names up on the "Round the World" plaques. And always in the order is cheese fries with gravy on the side. This time the fries seemed a bit different and even better than I remembered. They... More

I love sitting on the patio and eating. One of the few places that still allows smoking in the area. The food is excellent and the service is usually pretty good. The beers around the world is also a great thing to try, if you are into trying new beers from across the globe.

The Chimes is a mainstay at the North Gates of LSU. It's kept affordable for students, and the food is delicious. From their house Italian dressing to the fried seafood platter, it's all fantastic. I'm not a drinker but they pride themselves on their beer selection. Parking can be problematic, but it's worth the hassle. Try the hushpuppies, the grilled... More

I was working in Baton Rouge and one of the lawyers I was working with recommended we eat there. I said that I wanted Cajun food. I ordered the blacken catfish (great) and we shared a bowel of fried alligator tail. I had to try it. I loved it!

My husband and I are here for the Louisiana Marathon. I would like to begin by saying we are not picky people. I researched places to eat in Baton Rouge before leaving home. The Chimes kept catching my eye. Well, it did NOT live up to the pictures nor reviews we read. **The carpeted floors were littered with trash. Looked... More

A friend and I paid Baton Rouge a visit especially to see yet another State Capitol. It was an overnight visit and when we checked in on a Monday night at an hotel close to the university we asked the receptionist to recommend a restaurant. and he gave us directions to Chimes. Despite this we had great difficulty finding the... More
