Whenever I am traveling between my home and my family home up north, I love to stop at Dairy Cheer. Yes, it is fast food, but they have variety. Along with the food, there is the retro charm of the restaurant. I love how the...place seems stuck in time, a time that reminds me of a happier place many years ago. If you were looking for a pleasant trip back in time, try Dairy Cheer.More

Was a great place to stop for ice cream. My aunts love the slaw dogs here too! My son enjoyed a delicious banana split too!

When I placed my order I was told they didn’t care the item. When I went to pay for the rest of my order I was told they do care the item. I was then told that they did not have another part of my...order in stock. Next the dropped my order as they where making it. All of this after a very long waitMore

Only had the tangerine and vanilla swirl, but it was delicious ! ! Great prices! Was easy to get to from our hotel too.

Cute little mom and pop type place. Great cheeseburgers and fries. But the best is the tangerine sherbert. Never had it before and haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Worth the 3 hour drive to get it again.

When I was a teenager Dairy Cheer was my favorite place to stop on a Friday night. As an adult, it is the first stop I make when I come to town. Food is delicious and staff is friendly! Hot dogs with chili and slaw...will always be my favorite! I wish the cheese cubes hadn’t changed but it’s all still delicious!!More

I've been here several times since living in Pikeville and what I've determined is that the service is slow, the restaurant is dirty, the food is greesy and not worth spending your money on. I kept going back because I love to support locally owned...restaurant and I kept trying to give them a chance. But during my most recent, and definitely last, visit I left my wallet at home but luckily I have Samsung pay on my phone which works with any credit card machine, I have never had it not work. But the employees at Dairy Cheer rolled their eyes, become snark and rude and would not even try to use it, even though I was trying to explain that it would work and was literally begging them to "just try it." This was the worst, but I've NEVER had an experience here in which the employees tried to give good customer service.More

This place is old school and I love it. Every dessert that I've had here has been great, but my favorites are definitely the tangerine soft serve and the hot fudge cake with vanilla soft serve and nuts. I highly recommend both! This is definitely...not some Dairy Queen knock off, it's better!More

This place serves a classic burger. The tater tots and onion rings are always hot and crispy. The staff is always friendly and the old fashioned decor makes you feel like a kid again. The tangerine sherbet was the highlight of the meal.
