Terrible food...go somewhere else for seafood &/or Cajun. This IS NOT Cajun cuisine. Canned chicken in etouffe & popcorn shrimp in stir fry with no spices or flavor. Service was just medicore & not very friendly. Will not b returning to this disaster.
The salmon was very nice, and the wait staff suggested a horseradish sauce on the side with just enough punch. The salad had grilled chicken that was perfectly cooked. The creole dish was good...I see the other comments about it--you are only going to get...NOLA IN NOLA!!!!More
We thought the food was great. We had jambalaya and etoufee. Sat at the bar and received nice service. Should be rated higher.
when it comes to atmosphere, drinks, outdoor eating, and live music, Broussard's absolutely nails it. Unfortunately, the food just isnt very good. Bland Cajun food is a bit of an oxymoron, but that is what I have been served here. They need to be WAY...more liberal with the spices. A shame, because I really want to like Broussards. I tried the food on 3 different occasions, hoping I just caught an off night. Still a great place to catch music and a drink after dinner, for now I will stick to cooking my favorite creole dishes at home.More
We arrived just as they opened for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The staff was prepared to open; they were friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. The service was good. The prices were fair. Overall, it was a...nice, relaxing lunch.More
Everything was excellent! Server Heather was ON THE BALL!! She was very knowledgeable of menu, bright and spunky! Drinks came quick, app came quick, salads and then dinner served before app and salad we’re even finished. Food was hot (temp) and delicious. Disappointed to see...ice burg lettuce served in side salad. A few Pennie’s or dimes more with romaine or a good green leaf would make a world of difference. Overall, quite satisfied.More
I'm honestly surprised about the negative reviews. I'm originally from New Orleans...was in Paducah with my girlfriend, drove past this place and after a bit of "phone research" gave it a try. Not perfect - that's not at all New Orleans French bread they're serving...- but, at least as far as the jambalaya, red beans and rice and fried catfish, it was surprisingly spot-on. Nice ambience in downtown Paducah. Our server Paige was excellent. Maybe things have improved since those other reviews were written? We would definitely return.More
We drove over an hour to have oysters… didn’t have any today. We ordered a popcorn shrimp poor boy …. Captain D’s popcorn shrimp is larger. Both red beans & rice and gumbo was cool to luke warm at best. We used to go to...Cape and always enjoyed… today was a disappointing experience and made us miss Whalers Catch even more.More
The appetizers, meals and sides were great. But, the service needs much improvement. There is a variety of drinks to choose from.
Broussard's was excellent, the food was delicious, my only gripe was we were left waiting for someone to pick up the check.
Big glob of dry kidney beans over white rice was the red beans and rice. Jambalaya from a can maybe? The white rice is the star of the menu. Learn to cook and please send someone from Cape to teach them. Won’t be back. The...live music outside was nice. Points for atmosphere and friendly staff. I Really wanted to love it.More
Sadly, we had a terrible experience. We were seated right away, but there was clearly a misunderstanding about whose section we were seated in. After being extremely patient (to the tune of about 20 minutes), my husband finally went and asked the host if someone...would be coming to our table soon. The host blamed it on the server. The server came over and thanked us for waiting, but blamed it on having large tables outside and not knowing we were her table as well. We ordered our drinks and that didn't go well either. She was new and didn't know the menu and didn't understand what we were asking for. We probably should have left at this point, but we were really hungry and the food sounded great. Eventually, she came back and took our order. It appeared to go off without a hitch; however, it literally took 3 times to bring me what I actually ordered. At that point, both my husband and nephew were done eating. The manager, who brought me the final dish, blamed it on the waitress writing down the wrong thing and not understanding the difference. When I finally did get to eat, the food just wasn't good. Unfortunately, both my husband and nephew thought the same about their food. My nephew barely touched his. Same with me, and I was beyond hungry at the point. For the inconvenience of being there for 2+ hours, and not getting what I ordered multiple times, the manager allowed us to keep one of the incorrect dishes for free to "enjoy later". Seriously? No one ordered it or wanted it, but we didn't want to be rude. The nice couple seated next to us, who also didn't have a great experience, assured us that they've been here before and it appeared to be an off night for the kitchen. I think far more training, and far less blaming, and this place could possibly have potential.More
Go for the terrific old Paducah ambiance. Stay for the really good service. But the oysters (off taste) and fresh fish (mushy blackened catfish) were one star. And the rest of the food was at best two star. Would only go here for beers and...the band , if there is one.More
Had a late lunch here after visiting the National Quilt Museum. My wife and I lived in New Orleans many years ago and we both got oyster po-boys. The full size one is almost too much, but very good. Good oysters. New Orleans has Leidenheimer...bread which can't be duplicated elsewhere, but otherwise, good job.More
Had a great dinner here with friends and family. Staff was friendly and helpful with menu choices. Nice atmosphere - quiet with 3 floors of space for social distancing.
