This restaurant has a new management since 2 years. Already on the phone while booking a table, one could anticipate the kindness of the service. It was fully confirmed during our dinner: excellent service, not too fast, not too slow, very kind and professional. We have been recommended some wines to drink and enjoyed every bit of the evening. Food... More

Exceptional food and service at this small but wonderful Italian restaurant in Tuscany. The ravioli pasta dish just melted in your mouth and tasted simply delicious while the roast suckling pig, which was unique in my dining experiences, was so good, I went out of my way to compliment the chef before we left. The atmosphere was friendly and hospitable,... More

So here I was hoping that our next stop might have something other than the usual fare... salt-less bread, mediocre pasta, etc. Seeing as how all of Tuscany was taking the usual afternoon nap, we decided to call ahead and were told to stop on by (everything else was closed, everywhere, including Il Fornacino). We, a hungry tribe of seven... More

It was surprising to find this amazing restaurant so far from the tourists path. The carpaccio (salada) was aged for twenty days and it was easily the best we ever had. The mushroom soup and the 24-hour-cooked beef cheek (in chocolate au jus) was phenomenal. Let's not forget the "cold cappuccino" pana cotta... unforgettable!

Made a booking online for Monday night at 8pm, although looked as though there were a few walk ins and space in the restaurant. We recognised Luca from the pics on the website, and he was our waiter all night. Lovely restaurant, loved the personal service from the chef - very friendly and warm. Food was beautiful - everything down... More

This is an update to previous reviews I have made for this restaurant in the past few years. The restaurant is located in Guazzino on the main street and is wheelchair accessible. I am happy to say that it is just as good this year as it has been in previous years. The new owners, who took over several years... More

Our first trip to Tuscany and we were fortunate to find our way to Luca Bini's restaurant near Sinalunga. Luca is the owner/chef/host. This is his first restaurant, having previously worked for ten years at the venerable La Chiusa. The food that Luca brings to the table is superb, and the attention that he obviously gives to preparation and presentation... More

After a bit of shopping at Valdichiana it was time for lunch, so a bit of research on TA revealed Il Fornacino a short drive away, and we made a booking online for a late Sunday lunch. It was still quite full at 2.15. Some of the specials were out by then. What we had was very special - local... More

We spent a night at Sinalunga. Our host recommended to us a restaurant, which for a reason we could not find. On our way we spotted this restaurant and we decided to give it a try instead. All I can say is thank God for not finding the other restaurant, as our experience of Il Fornacino was excellent. One of... More

What an incredible find in a tiny town in the Siena region near Sinalunga and Bettolle. Chef and owner, Luca is a charming and gracious host and great chef! Our group of 7 had a lunch and dinner at il Fornacino and highly enjoyed both! From antipasti thru dolce (dessert) Chef Luca has lots of variety to delight you.
