Excellent old-fashioned German pub. Excellent beer, great live polka music. Great fun. Great homemade German food, all the old favorites that your grandmother made when you were little.

This is the closest thing for me to Germany. I lived in Germany for a short time and it is nice to come and remind myself of what I am missing.

We enjoyed a family meal outside. The patio is covered and there is a giant jenga game and a corn hole game where our 3 year old was able to run around a little while we waited. The food was great and the service just as good!

My spouse and I had an excellent meal--the combination plate for two of German specialties. We worried a bit that the recreated folklore German atmosphere would be the customer draw to the point that the food would be mediocre, but my spouse, who spend a summer in Austria, judged the food to be authentic plus it was quite tasty. We... More

History fun fact: This Hofbrähaus was the first one in the United States. With traditional German biergarten seating, the odds of sitting near others is great. Do not worry though if you are unsocial or fear others, as you have plenty of space. Brewing their own bier there are 6 options to pick from with many other out of the... More

Love the food but with the music playing & everyone trying to talk above the music, it was was so loud it was stressful and I wanted to hurry & get out of there. I will go back, but early in the day when they first open when it's very slow and quiet.

Open tables serving beer (pints and larger) plus German food. Both were very good as I had the sauerbraten with spaetzli, and red cabbage and a heffin weis beer. Looks just like the one in Munich. Located along street in Newport KY Levee area. Service was very good. For dessert had the Kirsch Black forest cake which was one of... More

What an unexpected pleasure. When you walk in you really do get the feel on a German beer garden. There was music, laughing and just a happ place. Beer came in a liter stein. Cold and just right. Of a things my friend ordered ribs. H raved about them. Schnitzel was quite good with potato pancakes with fried cabbage. You... More

Really wish I could have given this restaurant a Very Good but less than flavorsome sides brought down the rating. The meal voted best by our group was their strip steak. I know, a steak at a Bavarian restaurant but it was incredibly tasty. Steak houses should fix their steaks as well. We opened with the giant pretzel combo. We... More

Fun experience but always a little loud. Love the food and beer. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes.
