Dinner on Sunday night was so very pleasant. Tried the pork pot stickers and duck egg rolls as an appetizer. Both very tasty as were the sauces. Dinner for our party of three consisted of the ribeye, the flank steak, and the monk fish. All...More

We had reservations and were seated immediately. The server was very friendly and prompt. I ordered the 16 oz ribeye and my date had the 8 oz fillet. The meat was very tender and flavorful. I definitely prefer this restaurant over another one that starts...More

What I loved best about Varanese was the atmosphere, the beautiful light live music, white table cloths, and friendly servers. The food was okay, but actually the seasonal tur-duck-en wasn’t exceptional. I guess I expected better, I just need to try something else on the...More

Plenty of food, from 4 appetizers (Shrimp Wonton, Benedictine Crostini, Seafood Salad on Crostini, and Rueben Bites); choice of entrees with wine (Grilled Salmon, Smoked Pork Chop,...More

Very good food and great service. Live music was a plus. The orange bourbon salmon which my wife had was great, the California bass that I had was as well. Reservations are recommended they get busy.

The food is always special with an added taste experience. I highly recommend the special tastings. If you sign up for emails, most weeks you'll receive a special offer. The live music is pleasant and not at all intrusive.

The food was fantastic. The Orange Bourbon Salmon may be the best restaurant salmon I’ve ever had. My wife loved the burger. Extensive bourbon selection (as any Louisville establishment should have). They were out of a few rare whiskies listed in the menu, but that...More

We are out of town travelers, and stopped at Varanese since it was so close to our VRBO. We also read several great reviews on the internet. Everything exceeded our expectations. There were great menu selections. We ordered scallops & pork belly, beef tips &...More
