My wife and I joined friends for dinner on 7/21 and found this to be an extraordinary gem providing numerous options, serving great food and drinks with attentive and friendly service. Knowing that the entrees portions are generous, we shared the blackened shrimp appetizer and...skipped on deserts (although they looked fantastic). I had the NY Strip and my wife had the trout. Both were prepared with perfection. The tab of about $115 including drinks was reasonable and I'd go back the next time in Louisville.More

First time dining here, after reading many rave reviews. The experience was good, but nothing stood out as extraordinary . Food was tasty but seemingly under seasoned. No real complaints however.

An early Valentines day dinner tonight. We had chicken and fish entrees with escargot as a start and creme brulee to end. Add in delicious cocktails and you have fabulous dinner experience at Bardstown Road's premier restaurant. Get out and treat yourself with a visit....Or get a carryout and dine in style at home.More

Had dinner last night and wow was it fantastic! Love the seasonal menu concept. Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes. The Halibut was great and her mushroom tart was tasty! The house original margarita is to die for. If you haven't been...there give them shot.More

I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited here several times and my experience last night further confirms my belief that this is at or near the top of our local restaurants. This was a solo trip and the service at the bar was just excellent....I started with the Mussels and Frites with a roasted red pepper aioli, moved on to a delicious arugula salad and finished with a delicious Salmon entree. Service was professional period; full stop. I enjoy dining at a bar when I’m eating solo and the entire bar staff made the visit fun and welcoming. Most highly recommend.More

My wife and I and another couple recently had drinks and appetizers off of the bar menu. We all started with happy hour cocktails that were all well prepared and then decided to make a meal with multiple apps. These included oysters, salmon tacos, grilled...octopus, and foie gras. All were delicious and the serving sizes were perfect for sharing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone.More

I’ve dined all over the US and Europe and this place is by far one of the most creative, inspired little restaurants be visited. I had the pork chop on my first visit because I got there too late to order the rabbit. The pork...was local and divine paired with a rose wine we asked the bar to select for us that was equally up to the job. Then there was the rabbit, Kentucky fried rabbit if you can believe it. Served with greens and ham and a fusion spaetzle with cheese. I ate this with reckless abandon along with an excellent cab. I loved it so much I probably terrified anyone near me. The restaurant is not huge, dark and nicely decorated. Staff are as professional and informed as any I’ve encountered in my travels. If Michelin doesn’t find this place and give them a star, it’s Michelin’s loss.More

I wish I could be more positive, but alas, another overly regarded restaurant not up to Louisville dining standards. Reservations made at last minute on Open Table (a red flag for sure) and we were seated at a tiny table next to a noisy kitchen,...and a busy path to the restrooms. The host seated us promptly, but with no cocktail or wine list which the waitress had to fetch from the next table. A harbinger message of our pretty mediocre wait staff; satisfactory but not excellent. It is July so sweetie and I contemplated how to dress: short sleeves with a sweater? Or just figure that typical restaurants are far too cold and wear long sleeves? Not to worry, the temperature in the place exceeded 80 degrees. Even the wait staff complained of the heat. The people at the table next to us used their menus as fans. On this point alone we won't be going back. But there's more to dissuade us from a return. First the price. Far too high for the mediocre service and ho-hum dining room. Timing of entree presentation? Horrendous; in fact I had to ask the server when our food would arrive, and I rarely have to do this. Of course it had been sitting on the shelf, and it was brought as soon as I inquired. The food? My caesar salad was served at room temperature which was far from chilled. We shared the pork tenderloin which was good enough, but certainly not worth the overall experience. Don't waste your time or money here. Far too many good choices for fine dining in Louisville.More

My mother and I went here for dinner and had a great time! Very nice owner who came around to check on our table. Definitely check out the cocktails, especially the Champagne Old Fashioned. Also recommend the scallop dish as well as the fried cauliflower....Small restaurant, so be sure to have a reservation! Parking lot is behind the building.More

We made reservations for Saturday night. We ended up early, and they were able to seat us. Our waiter, Patrick, was amazing and so helpful. We did apps, Salad, entree, dessert, drinks and relished every single bite. Not a single bad word to say about...food or service. My husband had the short rib and I had the scallops. Both were melt in your mouth good. I had cheesecake for dessert. I consider myself a cheesecake snob and this is one of the top two pieces of cheesecake I’ve had in my life. Drinks were amazing as well. We can’t wait to go back.More

This is an elegant fine dining establishment. Probably not the most idea for children considering there picky taste buds. This is a place you would want to dine in a romantic setting or a small group of friends/family.
