Been to Silvio's on many occasions and love the consistancy every visit. The staff has been there for quite some time [ always a great sign! ], the room is not all that large , but really cozy with a friendly vibe. The Owner/ main chef is a treat ALWAYS coming out to greet his guests with friendly banter discussing ingredients, how a dish is made, and will discuss any subject. This is not a fine dining restaurant, but an absolute fine comfortable dining experience. You can tell Sivio's has lots of regulars and many locals who enjoy a good meal at a fair price in a relxed, fun atmosphere

To think we almost missed the experience... A generous coworker had given us a gift certificate for Silvio's several years ago and we lost it. It was several months past due but the owner said they would honor it. We are very happy we made the trip. Although the place was packed, and the owners & staff seemed to know most everyone, we were seated promptly and actually told "we are happy to see you" Very nice! Things got started slowly, but it is a great place to mingle and people watch. The rice ball was excellent, though filling. Marinara tasted freshly made. The grilled romaine salad was a fantastic and unusual mix of cool, creamy, crunchy and smoke. My wife's beet salad was good, but could have used more beets. Dinners were uniformly very good. The salmon and eggplant were well prepared and seasoned. Greens were excellent and pasta near-perfectly cooked. Wine list had good value and the Lemon-cello cake was addictive. As mentioned before, the owner visited most all tables to visit old friends and make new ones. We enjoyed a great meal and experience. The service was excellent, though very crowded. Check for two was $20-60 less than several upscale restaurants in the city, but the food and hospitality surpassed most all of them. Thanks for a great meal. We will be back with friends.

Traveling here for work and decided to go to Silvio's based on TA reviews. Beautifully decorated, white table cloth, yet very relaxing, fun and you feel like family type of atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, but we didn't know and was seated immediately on a Tuesday evening. Silvio himself, the owner/head chef, came out to talk with us and many of the customers and spent time getting to know us and expressing sincere appreciation for coming here. Great guy and felt like known each other for years. His daughter was our server and was equally as inviting and friendly and attentive to our table. The food was freshly made from scratch and delicious. I had the meatball lasagna and co-worker had the chicken parmesan...both meals absolutely delicious. The cheesecake desserts were excellent. Really, really enjoyed coming here and look forward to returning on my next trip to Louisville area. Best dining experience I have ever had...ever! Amazing!

It was a Monday night so it wasn’t a problem making a reservation. There were four of us and we ordered their Antipasto and Rice ball appetizers . The appetizers were excellent. For the main entree we ordered their Veal Parmigiano and their Chicken Parmigiano. Disappointed that their menu was limited and didn’t include many traditional Italian plates such as Veal Piccata, Veal Scaloppine and others. The main entrees were good and were enjoyed by all. The service was excellent and the wine selection was very good. If you enjoy good Italian food at reasonable prices, with a good ambience, excellent service I recommend Silvio’s for a pleasant evening.

Delicious dinner for family of four. We all tried something different, including chicken Parmesan, lasagna, shrimp polenta and baked ziti. Everyone’s was delicious, cooked well with right amount of spices. Bruschetta appetizer was also superb. Service was outstanding with added bonus of Silvio stopping by the table. Make reservations in advance, it’s a small place with a huge following. Definitely stop in and enjoy!

We found this restaurant by doing a Google search and I'm so glad that we selected it. I got the Meatball Lasagna, oh my goodness. The homemade meatballs in the Lasagna were delicious and the sauce was the best I've ever tasted. It wasn't bitter nor sweet, it was perfectly seasoned. My husband got Alfredo with grilled chicken and he said the sauce was buttery goodness. The bread you get here ask for the house made butter, it won't disappoint you I promise. Also, don't be shocked when the owner stops at your table to chat and get to know you a little and thank you for stopping in.

It's been a while since we have had dinner at Silvio's, so we met some family there for dinner. As in the past, it was FANTASTIC! The atmosphere, friendliness, and the food could not have been better. Our server, Christin, did an excellent job taking care of us and as they say, "A good dinner starts off with great service", we got it. We started off with the appetizers, Rice Ball and Calamari, followed by the Grilled Romaine Salad, of which we split, then my wife had the Seabass and I had the Isle of Skye Salmon. All were cooked to perfection. For desert we shared Italian Cream Cake. Our drinks consisted of two rounds of Mitcher's Bourbon and two rounds of Glass Gran Passione. Our total bill before tip was $156.88. Was it worth it, Absolutely! Will definitely be returning real soon. Make sure you make a reservation well in advance.

Disappointed from last visit 2 years ago. Overcooked sausage, rock hard meatballs, dry Italian cream cake and minimally seasoned chicken Alfredo. Average service.

Silvio’s is a fantastic mom and pop restaurant that has great food and selection and ships seafood in daily. The baked ziti was the best ever and Silvio spent at least 15 minutes with us chatting. He talked to all the tables and makes everyone feel welcome. Him and Karen have a fantastic clientele and value meals. Park in the rear.

The bread, butter, appetizers, meals & drink options are absolutely delicious. DELICIOUS! The owner & all the staff are the sweetest most welcoming group I have ever met. The atmosphere, music, lighting & cleanliness is 100%. I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is. My FAVORITE!! If you go here, you will be so glad you did.

We found Silvio’s while searching Trip Advisor for Italian restaurants in Louisville. When I called, we were told no reservations until 8:30, but it would be work the the wait… IT WAS!! We arrived early and sat at the bar with our two kids, we were greeted like friends! The hostess let us know that our table would be ready soon, so we chatted with the lovely bartender and her husband who works in the kitchen. Our waitress was equally as friendly, and all of their recommendations were on point! The Rice Balls, Baked Ziti, and Eggplant Parm are a must try! You will not be disappointed! If we lived in the Louisville area, we would be regulars!

I thought that this place was overpriced for what you got. My wife and I went. I had spaghetti with sausage (only one over cooked sausage came with it). My wife had a chicken dish. She had a cocktail, I had a glass of wine and with tip the bill was over $100. The portion I had was small. Could have gone to Olive Garden and had a better meal for about half that amount. I will say that the staff was friendly and accommodating and the owner did come out to say hello, but we will not be back. It was just not a good value for what you got.

Eggplant Parmesan and veal Parmesan were both very good except for the marinara sauce. It was not seasoned well at all- tasted like salt and garlic. Alfredo sauce was very bland too like it had no Parmesan in it. Pork chop was delicious! Caramel cheesecake was so good it made the Italian cream cake taste bland. Eat the cake first because nothing compares to that cheesecake!

Food and service would be hard to match! One of Louisville’s hidden gems. This is one of my all time favorites!! I LOVE the eggplant Parm which is usually my go to, but, the ravioli is excellent and the meatballs are delicious according to my companions
