Had the original Hot Brown and glad I did. It was very good but service was even better. I would recommend if you want less formal then other two Brown Hotel restaurants.

You simply must try the original hot brown! It is made with freshly roasted turkey, a perfect mornay sauce and delicious bacon. We enjoyed everything we got and the attentive service enhanced our experience. This is a historic gem that you don't want to miss.

They really do a great job here in the food and service department. You get greeted by this extremely high energy hostess-manager named Sue, who is very close to the customers, as she checks on many of the tables. Hard to have anything but a great experience. Good servers and very good food too.

This restaurant is amazing. We stopped on a hot Saturday afternoon to see what the hot brown was all about. It was my wife's birthday and we were between a historic mansion tour and a river cruise. We are so glad we stopped. We told the waiter that we would like to share the hot brown and ordered a Cobb... More

This restaurant is located in the Brown Hotel. If you want to remember what gracious dining used to be, have lunch here. No blaring music, and there is enough sound absorption that a pleasant conversation was possible. The Hot Brown sandwich was invented here, so that's what we had. Every bite was worth its $17. There are more things on... More

When in Louisville, one must stop at the Brown Hotel and have the Hot Brown. AMAZING! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was beautiful and ornate. This is a must do in Louisville.

The cafe has a lunch buffet that includes salads, soup, two entrees, veggies, and dessert. The salads were excellent. The veggies overcooked. The entress wer cat fish in a cream sayce and chicken with artichokes. The bread pudding with a carmel bourbon sauce was excellent. The staff is extremely friendly.

We enjoyed two breakfast while staying at The Brown Hotel. We had the french toast and omelet the first morning. Wonderful! The omelet stayed warm to the very last bite. Next day we had the famous Hot Brown! Wow! and the Saturday buffet was enjoyed by my husband which had a wonderful selection.
