This place is great! Large drink selection, both beers and mixed cocktails. The food was fantastic! Had the cottage pie, oh my! It was hearty beef stew in a bread bowl with mashed potatoes on top! Husband had the fish and chips and he said it was one of the best he's had. Large portions. The staff was welcoming, nice... More

Here on sister-sister-in law getaway. Stopped in for drink and appetizer, We were greeted and seated by owner. What a charming man. We had our pints and a appetizer of salmon. Drinks were good as well as food. Great service.

I had high hopes after reading some previous reviews; maybe it was just me. I was excited to try some new hard ciders but the 2 I tried weren't good to me at all. I found the food bland and the pork was kinda dry. The building is full of character. We sat in the main dining area and it... More

Food was amazing, staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered from the appetizer to dessert was great. We drove over an hour to try this and so glad we left happy. Definitely will try again if we are close.

Called in with a party of 15 on a Saturday night. They managed a table outside with no problem. I recommend the Seafood Pie with a Scottish Ale.

Absolutely amazing dining, great service and good prices. This is one of the restaurants that is making Louisville the greatest dining destination in the Midwest. Appetizers, get the Scottish eggs or Benedictine sandwiches. For dessert the trifle raspberry cake or the toffee pudding cake. In between everything is off the hook, get the waitress's recommendation. 10 out of 10!

While back in Louisville lately to visit family, we returned to a restaurant that was a favorite when we lived in that city -- Michael & Siobhan Reidy's Irish Rover. With warm memories of great service and authentic Irish fare, we were not disappointed. The friendly staff handled our large party, including 4 young children, with aplomb, even suggesting a... The fish and chips are excellent! We also tried a little bourbon since we are in Kentucky and the waiter did a fabulous job of recommending a very good one at a great price. The waitstaff was knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was authentic. The prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend it.

We tried Irish Rover on a friend's suggestion, and we were all impressed. That's not easy to accomplish with two picky eaters (in terms of what they will try) and one person who is a little snooty about quality and taste. I was on vacation with my husband and stepdaughter, and we took a detour off of the interstate to... More
