We paid Queen of Sheba another visit during our visit to Louisville. I could nearly copy my previous review and paste it into this one. The service and food was constantly excellent. Since we visited a few weeks prior, we had an idea of what we wanted this trip. A lamb combination dinner along with a lamb tips and beef... More

If you are adventurous in your food choices and have never had Ethiopian food you should try this place. The food is soooooooo good and the staff is so friendly. It is clean, charming and you will really enjoy the food. If you don't like eating with your hands in public just ask for a fork like I do.

I was there with two others and none of us had Ethiopian food before. We arrived on a Friday night just past prime dinner hour. The place was still nearly full but we were seated within a few moments (the had to finish clearing a table). The server was very gracious in explaining the cuisine. We selected a couple of... More

I've been here a couple times and the first time was purely by accident - the restaurant we were wanting to go to was in the midst of renovations. However, we've gone back every time we've been in Louisville as the food here is AWESOME! I've always been with a small group, so we've ordered the platters that can serve... More

This is our favorite Ethiopian restaurant anywhere! The atmosphere is incredibly casual and relaxed and the food is exquisite. Everything is wonderfully seasoned and full flavored and eating with injera instead of utensils just heightens the experience and makes the meal a culinary adventure. The appetizer sampler is a perfect start and I highly recommend the combination dinners for two... More

My husband and I love Ethiopian food, and we just moved to Louisville. We hadn't tried this place before, but we immediately fell in love with it. They have a "Meat and Veggie Combo platter," which is the best of everything, and it was huge, and it came quickly. The flavors were different, but just right, and the atmosphere was... More

This is always a treat. We ordered the "Beyaynetu" sampler appetizer platter. It contains Kosta wrap, Fossaolia wrap, tomato fit-fit and chicken sambussa. All were delicious I removed one star only for the sketchy service we received that night. One person brought us water and stated that she would be our server. When we were not ready to give her... Let me begin by saying we are not adventurous eaters...this was our first time dining here and we were all newbies to Ethiopian food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to help us make menu decisions. We opted for chicken and beef tips. Our friends ordered the Doro wot. Our meals came on enormous trays, each with our... Dear other Louisville restaurants, There's no good way to say this. But I'm leaving you for Queen of Sheba. It's not that you did anything wrong. Well, I am tired of seeing pork belly/lardons on menus. And come on, some of you could offer more palatable vegetarian options than a roasted squash plate. For the most part, however, Queen of...
