Over all atmosphere was (just) ok. The wait staff was excellent, the service was standard. Our anniversary meal was a 3 out of 10. First our over-priced medium rare steak was burnt to a crisp. When replaced it was still "Moooing", didn't even ask for it to be replaced at that point. The steak was taken off the tab, but... More

Yes the steaks are wonderful! But anything approaching a normal conversation is impossible. I think the name should be changed to Jack Ruby's Sportsbar (for the volume) but the food and service was great.

My first dining experience, it was cozy and the Salamon was moist and delicious. The staff was very attentive, even though the restaurant was extremely busy - for the early holiday lunch crowd. I look forward to dining there again soon. Linda

We went for our anniversary, had heard a lot about the place but hadn't ever been - now we wonder why we waited so long! It was delicious!!! They had the best sushi in town, best service, and by far the least "stuffy" 5* restaraunt I have ever been to. We felt very "at home" even in the very nice... More

Beautiful restaurant but bar area is very noisy. Luckily, we had a table in the back. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. The Freddie salad was wonderful. We got lobster and the filet and both were properly prepared and delicious. For after dinner we had the creme brûlée which was very good. Service was top notch and the entire meal fantastic. We... Jeff Ruby's is my absolute favorite steakhouse in Louisville. I am so picky about how my steak is prepared and they get it right every. single. time. Their salads are excellent, the presentation is excellent and the service is always excellent. I'm a pretty picky person and I definitely give Jeff Ruby's five stars!

A bit overpriced, but very good steaks. Good appetizers. We had the 8 oz filet and the cowboy steaks, and both were excellent. Service was good as well. We did not sit in the main dining areas, but those areas seemed full of energy, so if you try to go there, would ask not to sit in the back rooms.

We had a business dinner here last week and the service, ambiance, food quality, and overall experience was superb. Jeff Ruby's will now be our "go-to" place in Louisville. The menu had plenty of variety to please everyone, and every single dish that came to our table was perfectly prepared and presented. A truly great place. WE can't wait to... More

I walked into Jeff Ruby's expecting to order something other than steak, because I can grill a nice steak myself, and then a couple things happened... One, the guy next to me had a filet delivered to him that looked amazing, and two, the waiter went through the specials and had a surf and turf option. I ended up with... More

Treated myself to a nice dinner at Jeff's, recommended by a coworker over Morton's (my initial intended location). Prices are a little high (seemingly higher than Gibson's Chicago or other steak chains) but quality is great. Filet Oscar (they call it something else) wedge, and a couple old fashions and call it a successful meal. Adriana the bartender was awesome,... More
