the Monkey Wrench is an old gas station that is a great bar and restaurant! The appetizers are incredible and the burgers were great!

If you don't know, now you know! It's the coolest joint in the area. I laughed, I cried, it became apart of me. You have to meet Dennie the owner or Ashley and Karl! Amazingly nice. Not to mention all the great local music. 🍻😃

Stopped here with some family members for a quick bite before heading out for the evening. Great atmosphere, employees, drink, food and music. Should have stayed longer....but we'll be back.

Have been here a few times. Great place for a burger and a beer. Pretty bohemian so be prepared for concrete floor and dim lighting but the food is great.

I have always loved going to the Monkey's Wrench for lunch or dinner. I had Brunch there for the first time three weeks ago. I must say, I had a blast! I went with four other people. We all enjoyed the live music, the Bloody Mary Do-It-Yourself -Bar and the food! Denny was the best! Ask for him to make... More

I'll admit. I like a cool dive. And I'm okay with a little chaos once in a while. My husband step son and I decided to try this place based on the "Louisville chef's" feature on tv. I was expecting much more. Upon entering it was confusing about where to sit. We stood and looked around before deciding to sliding... More

I’m only speaking to Sunday brunch at the Monkey Wrench The Monkey Wrench is a bar; a place where at night people gather to drink, party and listen to live music. On Sunday they serve a tasty line up of Bluegrass country inspired entrees; delicious I might add. Its funny when you read the reviews most people have the same... More

Went here with friends of my son for dinner and it was a good fine. They had buffalo meatloaf and mutton doe very nicely with great sauce. Lots of draft beers at reasonable prices, same for bourbon. A jazz trio started playing midway through dinner and they were very good. Also loved the mural of Hunter S. Thompson on one... More

The meat plate with meatloaf, mutton, and a humongous fried chicken breast was ample for two to share. But I would like to try a whole order of mutton. Would have been nice to have a vegetable side, as the veggie entree was kind of heavy alongside all that meat. Second floor deck is a throwback to smoke-full days. Okay... More

Had a couple of great meals and experiences this past weekend at the Monkey Wrench. Awesome bourbon selection for real people (i.e. no $50 shots of Pappy), very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Top that off with great food, what's not to like. I had the meat sampler and side of ridiculously good mac 'n cheese. My wife had the fried... More
