Cattleman's Roadhouse is a locally owned, Kentucky Proud restaurant. We are not a chain, but we do now have several locations in the surrounding area. We are just a couple of Kentucky boys serving great steaks! We pride ourselves in local buying and suppliers. When we opened our first restaurant, we scoured the state to find the best quality foods possible. Our steaks are aged 28 days, hand-cut, and are second to none in tenderness and flavor. Our burgers are Aspen Ridge All Natural Beef that is certified, humanely raised, with NEVER any antibiotics. From our locally sourced produce to our handmade desserts by Helen, we strive to serve better quality foods than other casual restaurants. Our Goal is not to be the Cheapest, but to serve Great Quality. STEAKHOUSE QUALITY at ROADHOUSE PRICES! Cattleman's Roadhouse - Where a great steak is just the beginning!

We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation. The facility was fine, and our wait person very good. We had a party of six. Three of us got steaks. The flavor was fine but all three were perhaps the toughest steaks any of us have ever tried to eat. One in the party didn't even finish theirs. One of us got the pot roast and it was very good. Two got salmon and they said it was ok. All in all, only one of us was happy with their meal. We didn't consider it a good value at all. It was disappointing because steakhouse chains usually provide a good value.

Got the smuthered chicken. Favor was great, but the chicken was over cooked and dry. The Mac and cheese was flavorful, but the pasta was over cooked as well. The soup was perfect and the salad bar is great, so many choices.

It was recommended to try. But I will say the staff was extremely friendly. I just had the salad bar. It was ok. Way to many dressing choices. Hubby had the ribeye steak. No flavor. Very disappointed. I would say next time I would try a different restaurant

We sat at a table that had constant water dripping from the air conditioner onto our table and food. We called for management to see and the manager just apologized and said we won’t sit anyone here anymore. I feel we should have been offered a portion of cost off of our dinners or at least been offered a dessert or drinks. This was nasty and I am attaching pictures. Look at it dripping from the light and all over our reciept . We will not be back.

Service was good but food was very mediocre, pasta cool nothing great about the chicken fried steak. Very deceiving from website with customers drinking cocktails!
Seated next to a group of older women which was fine until their teenagers came in then they all got loud.

Today was one the worst experiences my friend and I have had at this location. We arrived at 12:10 pm to a nearly empty restaurant. We were promptly seated however it took nearly 10 minutes before we were greeted by a server. Our drink and food order were taken at this time, and we were informed that bread was not available as it was still rising. I ordered the salad bar, and my friend ordered the black angus burger with no seasoning and well done. She ordered a baked potato as her side. At 12:45 pm she still had not received her meal. I approached the manager on duty to inquire why her food was taking so long. I was informed that it would be out shortly. I told her that my friend needed to get back to work and that to make it a to go order. Five minutes later my friend's meal was brought to our table. The server said it must have gotten behind a large order, which was an obvious mistruth since the restaurant was nearly empty. When my friend attempted to eat her meal, she found it to be burnt and totally inedible. We will not waste our time or money by going here again. It is very clear that the management at this location is wholly worthless, and drastic changes need to be made or the location should be closed.

They were three of us, and we all had the 6 ounce sirloin steak, medium with the salad, bar and baked potato. The steak was cooked to order and very delicious with great flavor. We loved the salad bar with its many options. Our service was amazing and our server took wonderful care of us. I highly recommend this steakhouse. You won’t be disappointed!

Ordered the pork chop special. PC came encased in an over cooked batter of some kind , very hard. The PC that is encased in the concrete like batter was cooked beyond well done. Should have sent it back. The fried pickles where again over fried so much the batter was dry and cracked and very crunchy and it wasn't the pickle that was crunchy...like eating a hard biscuit which they probably serve there also. So I'd wished I had ordered their hamburger because everybody said they were so good. So we went back the next day to get a hamburger for lunch. It was very crowded so we went to eat and a table at the bar. All the tables had dishes and cups on them and hadn't been cleared except for one huge table and we didn't want to take that great big huge table for just my granddaughter and i. So I asked the bartender if she could have somebody come and clean the table and she told me that I would have to go find someone to clean the table because she doesn't clean tables so I asked her well can you call someone and she just ignored me so we left and we will never go to cattlemen's and Shelbyville again

I stopped by the Shepherdsville location around 11:15 am. This was my first time being in this specific location. I just wanted to grab a quick steak and salad and head back to the office. Restaurant was not busy at the time. I walked in and was greeted by two young ladies and was seated right away. I was seated in the back section near the kitchen. The only other people seated here was two older gentlemen. The waitress was in the process of taking their order. After speaking with them she proceeded to put their order into the system and then she went into the kitchen. About 5-8 min later she returns with their starters they had ordered. She then proceeded back into the kitchen area. I sat quietly for about another 7-8 mins. At this point I stood up and seen myself out. I understand when a restaurant is busy or short staffed and this place was neither of those. Can someone offer up any type of reason as to why I was not as important as the other two gentlemen? Was she concerned I may not tip as well and they deserved more or better attention? I would please like a response.

Absolutely the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. I ordered two burgers and an appetizer To-Go. After waiting way too long, the bartender that I ordered from told me that she was waiting on one more burger. I knew right then there was a problem. It took another 20 minutes, and sure enough, the other food was cold and inedible when I got it.
I recommend that you not eat here, but if you do, make sure you eat in the dining room. That way, when they screw up your order, you can at least complain and have some chance of getting it fixed. DO NOT order To-Go, because then they will screw you and you have no way to fix it.

We arrived, 7 of us, at the same time as a bus of 40 adults arrived about 5:30 pm. I was worried that it would take forever to get our meals but was very impressed with the quick service. The salad bar and each meal was delicious and reasonably priced. LOVED IT!!

Just left the Cattlemen’s off Charlestown Road in New Albany Indiana. Very disappointed in service. Waited over 30 minutes before someone took our drink order. When our food came my mother’s chicken was dry and looked disgusting. She said it was really really dry. Our waitress took forever for her to get us refills on our drinks. She did make a new meal for our mother which took over 45 minutes to come out. IT was horrible!

This is for the Mt. Sterling, KY Cattleman’s.
We were crazy about Cattleman until our third visit (29JUL2023) within six months. My girlfriend ordered a margarita and it came in a timely fashion but truly little to no alcohol. We informed our server that it wasn’t good. He took it back to the bar but came back a minute later and said the Manager stated, “we would have to charge you to add more alcohol?” So my question is why would you charge someone when you can’t taste the alcohol. What a joke and there seemed to be no care in management to come and ask. So, based off this action we won’t be back and it truly seems that this Cattleman’s has gone down hill since the Morehead franchise has opened up. We will now take our business to Lexington. What a shame .

Another good Louisville steakhouse. I love the cinnamon butter that comes with the rolls. Haystack sirloin with breaded onion strings and bourbon syrup and rice and diet pepsi was my meal. Molten lava cake was my dessert.

Stopped by for early lunch. The salad bar was all plated by gloved waiter. He was courteous and told us we could revisit as many times as we wanted. It was fresh and very good.
It was a Monday so we had special .it was sirloin with side and salad bar included. (Usually salad bar is additional charge).we were quickly served hot rolls. The steak was cooked perfect. Mine medium,hubby well done. Baked potatoes were excellent.
Excellent value and taste. We will revisit when we are in town.
