Stayed at the Marriott but had been to all the "high class" restaurants, just needed a little comfort food. Found Saffron's on TA and went there. A great restaurant with good food and atmosphere. I had the Dolmeh (grape leaves w/meat) and the Koobideh (ground beef similar to a Adana Kebob in Turkish). Both were excellent! Being raised in a... More

Very friendly staff. Food is good but not exquisite. Service is excellent. The place is clean and tidy. I had ordered quail for appetizer. It was well done. The lamb shank was a little bland but well prepared. Selection of dishes was typical of a Persian eatery. A good place for lunch and dinner.

Went to eat with a business colleague. First thing I noticed was how clean the dining room is. Waiter was extremely friendly telling us about the menu items, asking any questions about the food. He brought out a 'palette cleansing' bowl of greens, radish, cucumber, cheese to be put on a pita. GREAT FLAVORS. Not sure what the greens consisted... More

Coming from a Middle East country before moving here this is not a bad take on Persian food. The quality of the ingredients used was fabulous. Our server made the right recommendations and was very attentive The flavour of the food was ok, just a little on the bland side. But could not really fault it

I ordered the daily special, a curried chicken. It was delicious. There was enough that I only ate half, and could take the other half home to savor the next day. As on previous visits, the staff were attentive, informative, and willing to engage in conversation about the food choices I was making. The rice is always perfect. The atmosphere... More

The food was very good. Service was average. The rack of lamb was wonderful and the meat dolmathe appetizer was great. Everyone in the group thoroughly their meal.

Great Persian food at a reasonable price in the downtown Louisville area. Very friendly staff and great prices. You get a lot of food. The koubideh was delicious!

Wow! Super impressed by the Persian/Iranian food at Saffron's! Alan was extremely hospitable, and made a great wine recommendation. We started with the eggplant and garlic dip, and shared the chicken and mushroom stew. We wish we had room for the homemade speciality ice cream, but we were stuffed! Thanks so much, Saffron's! We will surely send friends and family... More

Ms. Jane , our server was unfriendly and rude. She brought us wilted mint and vegetable at first. When I asked for some fresh one, she rudely said that these are fresh. Salmon Barberry, I ordered, came with no saffron and barberry. The rice was cooked with dried dill which was not expected. Even though at six pm on Monday,... More
