Gorgeous decor that is elegant and stately. Lead glass windows, fresh flowers and lots of horse paintings. The Hot Brown is a heavenly dish that will tantalize your palate and will leave you feeling full for hours on end. It is a scrumptious open face turkey sandwich with Roma tomatoes, crunchy toast points covered in a creamy Mornay sauce and... More

Fine dining with an attention to detail that has stood the test of time since the 1920s. One of the best old fashion cocktails we have had. That's saying something since we are from Wisconsin, home of the old fashion. Wonderful table side caesar salad made while you watch. Great hot brown and salmon. Service was perfect, attentive to detail... More

Best experience at a restaurant I have ever had! Staff was amazing. Beauitful dining room. Beyond excellent food. The hot brown is to die for. My wife had the Rack of Lamb, best i have had in my life and we eat a lot of lamb.

We enjoyed the entrees (hot brown & beef short ribs) and since it was a slow weeknight we also enjoyed discussing the history of the Brown Hotel with one of the managers.

In town for business the week of the Kentucky Derby, we enjoyed dinner at the English Grill at The Brown Hotel -- old world elegance from an earlier era. The lobby/bar scene was very active (& full of a pre-Derby dressed-up crowd). The bar was stacked w/ a notable collection of VERY hard to find bourbons ... on full display:... More

Booked reservations here since we were attending a concert at the adjacent Brown Theater. They assured us that they would get us out in time for the show. We had three different waiters in our almost two hours there. Service was extremely slow even after we reminded the waiter we needed to rush and asked for the check when served... More

Our main goal in coming to the Brown Hotel was to have the famous Hot Brown at the place it was invented. We were not disappointed! The best we have ever had. Great derby pie also. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. A memorable experience.

Made a reservation here before going to a Concert at The Palace Theater... The Hotel lobby and restaurant are a page out of the beautiful past... The restaurant is quiet making for excellent conversation but the food and service were just "good"... Nothing the would want me to return again...
