The restaurant was lovely and the staff was excessively friendly and enjoyable to talk with. Ron, our server, had a great knowledge of the menu and was very personable. He described the sweet potato soup so well that we had to try it. We thought that it was very tasty, however we weren't quite prepared for the cayenne pepper that... More

I took my wonderful wife and youngest son there for our Valentine dinner the day before Valentine's. What a great dinner and a fantastic bottle of Patz Pinot Noir. I had the rack of lamb and it was right there.with the best ever. My wife had the shrimp special and it was excellent, my son had the Filet and his... More

We ate in an area across from the Grill by the front door - that door bangs loudly when shut. Valentine's Day dinner event was good, especially the filet - delicious and nicely presented. The waitress wasn't quite up to a 5-star restaurant rating. Spills, crumbs not cleaned off table, drinks not refreshed as often as should be, etc. The... More

The ambiance of this historic dining area of the Brown Hotel is lovely and not to be missed if in Louisville. The menu had changed two weeks before we were there, so the online menu was close but the format of how they serve sides, etc. had changed, as I was told by Troy the dining room manager who seemed to... Superb service! Excellent menu with fine cuisine! The Hot Brown (created here) was just to die for! Get a room by the open French doors in the evening and listen to the music waft in from the pianist in the bar. In fact, have a drink there first. It is one of the most beautiful bars in the South!

Dear Cindy, Thrilled to read your comments of "World Class restaurant" and "one of the most beautiful bars." It certainly is a great way to spend an evening, to start in our lobby lounge with a fine KY Bourbon while listening to the pianist, and then heading to the Grill. Please let me know when your plans next bring you... More

Great older style dining in a casually elegant décor. Fabulous food and nice service. We would go again, it was special.

A fine wine list complements the traditional fine dining options. Don't miss the famous "hot brown". The staff is very friendly and gracious.

Amazing décor. Feels like it must have 100 years ago. Interesting equestrian theme. Well trained staff. Chef has a nice touch. Service staff know the menu well. I loved the tableside cooking.

Of course I had to try the Hot Brown and of course it was delicious. I had a mint julep that was also very tasty. What most surprised me about this place was that the service was impecable. Service was fast and friendly. Wife and I both got hot browns and they were excellent. The waiter gave us a Strip Tease (dessert) as a complimentary gift for our anniversary. It was amazing as he lit it on fire to melt the chocolate over the brownie. Great eats!
