I took my family to Jade Palace for dinner after coming back from cruise
and my wife did not want to cook. This is my go to restaurant when I want Chinese.
Most reviews compliment their buffet which is good but the dim sum is what I most
enjoy. It is not a very big list but I know of only one other Chinese restaurant that
truly sell dim sum. My family of five had the buffet, the regular menu items and the
dim sum. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we also shared. We even had leftovers
to take home. The only reasons they don’t get five stars is they often have new
servers and they may not be familiar with the menu and need help explaining
some of the items on the menu.

This is our go to place for Chinese buffet. At $13.50 per person it’s actually a bargain. There is an ample selection of food and it’s certainly a lot cheaper than ordering carry out from a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, Is it as good as it was before Covid? Maybe not, but certainly worth the drive if you are in the mood for Chinese. Service was very good and our water glasses were always filled and dirty plates removed quickly.

Although it was taco week we could only eat so many tacos and opted for the Jade Palace buffet. Fortunately the buffet is back after the Covid restrictions. Is it as good as before? Perhaps not but they do have a decent selection and service is always good. Now they have raised the price a little from $12.99 to $13.50 for a Saturday afternoon. That’s not much of an increase especially since it’s cheaper that getting Chinese takeout at my neighborhood restaurant. Go figure.

The Jade Palace is very reasonably priced for the lunch and dinner buffet. While there there were also several folks who came for takeout. The buffet does offer a variety of food and service has always been pleasant. There is plenty of parking and in fact it’s cheaper than for us getting carry out from a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Besides sometimes it’s good to go out for lunch or dinner now and again.

This is the first time we have been back since they reinstated the buffet menu. At $12.99 for dinner on a Saturday that is not bad. Generally we have been leery of buffets but Jade Palace does a good job with them. This gives us a chance to sample a number of items on the table. Most were good. Some were less than successful such as the egg rolls and fried dumplings. They didn’t fare well under the heat lamp. That being said overall it was a good experience and a welcome change since Covid had initially put a halt to buffet style dining.

After doing some early Christmas shopping and other errands we decided to go out to eat. Yeah, some place with a variety of food and reasonable prices. So we went to Jade Palace and partook of their buffet. Is it as good as before Covid? Maybe not but it’s certainly more inexpensive than ordering Chinese food from a neighborhood restaurant. Service was good and very pleasant. There was quite a variety to satisfy most people although I would say that the egg rolls were a bit chewy so beware. Otherwise it was a good meal.

When you order take out, sometimes errors occur. We had an issue we didn’t notice until I got home. When I took the problem meal back, the owners accepted responsibility and corrected the issue.
This was an exceptional customer service experience. The remembered me the next time I ordered and were kind enough to throw in some extras. Could not be more pleased. This will be our go to place for Chinese from now on.
PS. Food is pretty good too!

When you and your wife can’t come up with a particular restaurant or food to go eat there is always the buffet at Jade Palace. It’s reasonable with courteous service and you certainly have quite a few options on the buffet table. Of course a number of people order carry out every time we go there. Obviously they like it.

This restaurant had a great carry out business and delivery. They had everything organized. They suddenly closed on Sunday. They are not taking carry out or delivery orders. The sign gave no date for reopening. This is a really good restaurant and I hope they will reopen after the virus emergency ends.

This is a very average Chinese restaurant. Covid has taken a toll but they are working hard to over come staffing and supply issues. Carry out has suffered as items are left out of orders so always check before leaving the restaurant. They have lots of new staff that need a lot more training. The basic noodle dishes are good and dim sum.

Wish it was the Jade Palace like it used to be but now borders on pitiful. Hostess lady was rude.
It’s looking pretty filthy - check out the crusty lobsters for sale sign by the nasty lobster tanks.
I have made my last visit to this place .. everything comes off the Chinese food distributor from Ohio.

The personnel of Jade Palace, apparently, are sufficient ... so that this excellent restaurant can again, offer a steam-table of many items, for a certain function. Fortunately, also, most or all of the old menu is available ... either for dining-in, or for take-out. I asked for (take-out) the Cantonese Peking Duck, in a half-size portion. EXCELLENT, again, in how the duck was chopped-into the usual, manageable portions, even in a "to-go" container, as the latter was FILLED, proportionately! Thus, the Jade Palace should, again, gain it's place as one of the BEST of the numerous, fine Chinese restaurants/cuisine in this area.

Sure, you can order off the menu but with a dinner buffet for two at at a little over $21 why not try a variety of food. Is it the best Chinese we have ever had? No, but still filling and a bargain. The restaurant is clean and located in the popular Westport Village shopping complex.

Sure, there’s not a lot of variety and they don’t have an ice cream machine like some of the buffets but it’s inexpensive. For those of us who have trouble choosing off the menu there’s still enough variety to find something to fill us up. It’s not the best Chinese we have ever had but still a fair deal for the price.
