This restaurant accepts reservations and would suggest you make them. The Scottish smoke salmon was delicious, prepared to perfection. Filet steak was prepared as the guest requested and was very flavorful. The brussell sprouts were to die for and worth the visit there only-a must try for your choice of vegetables. Pork chop was tasty but a little tougher than... More

In all the years of coming here, never once disappointed. Bucks is with out a doubt the best Louisville has to offer. Elegant and timeless with out being pretentious. This visit Becca was our server, outstanding service. It is always outstanding at Buck's. My wife chose the pork chop, I had the nights special, the Ribeye, both spectacular. Rick Bartlett... More

This is a Louisville treasure. We came for a visit and wanted a non-touristy experience. Found it! We walked in, the bar was loaded with beautiful flowers and the piano was being played. Our table was ready and since it was NYE, there was a prix fixe menu. Choices of fish, filet medallions, etc was presented with appetizers, salads, and... More

Bucks has great food and a price to match. Get dressed up to go here. Have a few hundred dollars to live a little. Everything is yummy.

We had dinner mid-week, so not too crowded. The bourbon selection was impressive. The menu ranged from standards to italian to asian. The crab cakes were very good as a starter. Everyone commented their meals were very good as well. The piano entertainment was a nice touch, but too loud to have a normal conversation. The service is exceptional!

We wanted a nice place for a lovely dinner to celebrate our 38th anniversary--yet, I recently received a list of food sensitivities; to gain health, I needed to eliminate these. In advance, I contacted several upscale places to see if they could accommodate my needs and still provide a quality experience. Buck's took the challenge and they succeeded. The interior... More

We enjoy fine dining and expect to pay $$$$ for the experience, excellent food and great ambiance. Unfortunately that is not what we encountered at Buck's. Decided to try this restaurant out for an early NY eve dinner. Very disappointed with our $75/plate "4 course" dinner, complete with 1oz of complimentary champagne. Meal included a luke warm appetizer plate consisting... More

We were there on a Saturday night - very loud. Several large parties and we had to scream at each other. Food was good - a little pricey - Quail was not as good as we had hoped - have had better.

We went here during Derby Week. They had very slow food service and the server was completely inexperienced. Our food was given to another table and the people at that table started eating it because it was over an hour after ordering! Maybe it's gotten better....

Recommended that we stop in to see the bar and have a bourbon. We were not given a drinks list initially and spouse ordered a bourbon flight, which had 4 samples, perhaps 1/2 oz each. I had an Elijah Craig 18 yr, again a very tiny glass, perhaps 1 oz . The bar bill was $ 125. While the place... More
