Salsas and guacamole (fresh and interesting), , Cochinita Pibil (excellent), Chilaquiles (love it). Will definitely go back. In fact, I'm thinking of their food now. Service was very attentive.

An eclectic place to take guests from out of town. Superb arrangements, tasty meals, well complimented with flavorful and affordable wines: one of the best places in town. I never had a bite here that was not outstanding.

We didn't have a reservation, but were seated right away. We had a vegan in our group who had questions regarding ingredients/preparation. Our server was polite and helpful, with some great recommendations. She had the spaghetti squash toss, our friend had the Chilaquile and I had the Vegetarian Burrito (with pork). We would have had clean plates at the end... More

Thank you for dining with us recently! We are huge fans of vegetables here and have intentionally included more dishes that are enjoyable for both vegetarians & vegans over the years. The blueberry ginger mojito is brand new, so I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for your feedback and we'd love to have you dine with us again. ~Anne More

We found this place online as we were driving through Louisville and decided to stop in for dinner. I had my two teenage boys with me, who were dressed neatly (but not fancily), and we did not have a reservation, but we were seated right away and made to feel welcome. I appreciated that, as I could see that we... More

Had a business lunch here. Everything we tried was fabulous. I highly recommend the tacos. My associate had the salmon and she said it was wonderful. I have never had a bad meal here. Always very fresh and unique food.

We went to Mayan Café following a recommendation. The place is beautiful with a relaxed, modern, chic atmosphere. Service is top notch. Our waitress knew the menu perfectly, she was very courteous and always checking if food was good. The have a modernized version of Mayan dished from the Yucatan peninsula. I am Mexican, so I am familiar with most... More

Eduardo, Thank you so much for your kind words about your meal with us recently. I'm so glad you & your guest enjoyed the cochinita pibil, rabbit & flan. You're spot on about our modernized versions of some classic Yucatec dishes. We are always looking for new ways to describe what we do, so I may borrow your words. :)... More

Small dining room somewhat "not quite", but good atmosphere. Suggest you make a reservation. Food was very good and an interesting menu that gives you a different selection than many other places. Wine list is good and not too expensive. The Service is great and you feel very important when dinning at the Mayan.

We had reservations at 5pm. We were sat promptly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and courteous. Our appetizer, salad, and entree arrived, timed perfectly. All the ingredients were fresh and very flavorful. I will definitely be returning

Tony, thank you very much for having dinner at our place recently. I'm so glad the timing was on point and you enjoyed your meal. We purchase the bulk of our food from local farms, which adds so much to the flavor of the food. At this time of year, when we are getting such a variety of produce from... More

Very small, but very friendly. Very good and changing menu. The choices are usually South American and the chef puts his unique twists on everything. Because it is a small place, it is better suited for small parties and it is sometimes hard to get a table, particularly on the weekends, so call as far ahead as you can.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Our chef is from the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, so he bases our food in the roots of the Mayan cooking, but definitely adds his own twist to the traditional dishes. Our farm to table sourcing adds a unique spin to the dishes as well. We recently began taking online reservations, so... More

We ate here recently and enjoyed a delicious dinner, but not being much of red-meat or fish eaters, there were only a few options that worked for us -- we loved the vegetarian burritos and the atmosphere and service were wonderful but would be thrilled if Mayan Cafe brought back their Mole chicken! Having recently returned from this part of... More

Thanks very much for dining with us recently. I'm glad you enjoyed the burrito. We put a new vegetarian dish on the menu several months ago - the Spaghetti Squash Toss - which is really great. We also offer the chilaquile which is another vegetarian dish. We have unfortunately had such a hard time getting chicken consistently from our farmers,... More
