We met a party of friends for dinner. The restaurant was crowded so we dinned at tables on the sidewalk. No problem; the NuLu District is quite informal. But reservations are recommended for this popular restaurant. The Yucatan flavors are delicious and the presentations beautiful.

I don't usually order guac, but a friend did, and wow was it good. Excellent service, lovely wine, beautiful presentation of main dishes. We had 4 different main items, and each was delicious. Make sure to make a reservation, even if it's for lunch.

Came here due to everyone’s reviews but I don’t get it. We had reservations for dinner and were put in a back corner. It was very cramped. Food was just ok. Service was excellent. Not sure if we went on a day that the chef...More

The Mayan Cafe is a small, intimate space. Photos of our chef's village in Mexico cover the walls. We serve authentic Mayan food in an atmosphere of simple elegance.
