What a special place! The food was excellent and unique. Don't miss this experience. The dishes were enjoyable from the first to the last bite. The seasonings and combinations were wonderful. We highly recommend the salmon and the rabbit.

I love this place. They are slammed at lunch so reservations are strongly suggested, but it's the best thing this little downtown has going for lunch. Big fan,and I'm picky.

I live in Texas and spend weeks at a time in Mexico with a friend who has a cooking school so I gave my companion the side eye when he suggested this place. I was blown away, the food was inventive but still authentic. I had their take on chilaquiles, in this case tortillas, vegetables and sauce with queso fresco.... More

I wasn't a fan of the food. A lot of people seem to like the charred lima beans. I don't like them. They taste like burnt lima beans. I had the Mayan burger. I did not like the flavor, and, especially the texture.

Lucy, I am so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal here for your birthday. The burger is grass-fed beef so it is a bit leaner than other burgers because of this. If you ever don't enjoy something you eat here, please let your server know and we will absolutely get you something else. Again, my apologies that... More

Great food, great service, very fast and reasonably priced lunch. I had the salmon, but every meal I saw looked wonderful.

Thanks so much for joining us for lunch recently. We really appreciate your support! Next time you come in for lunch, be sure to try the salbutes. They're such a fun dish and a great way to try many of our flavors. Thanks again! More

The three of us order different menu items and we were all very happy with our selections. The combination of ingredients were flawless. Each meal was reasonably priced and the waiter was very helpful with meal selections.

I love this place. I don't think there is anything on the menu that is not good, but my go to is Papadzules. The fried plantains are worth getting as well, soft yet slightly crispy on the outside, mmmm!

Thanks Rolando! The papadzules are such a great dish - I'm so glad you enjoy them. And the plantains are just the best when they're ripe! Thanks for your support. More

Always love the Mayan Cafe and today was no different. The chips and spicy guacamole was a great start to lunch. I enjoyed the Salbute plate with 1 Chorizo and 2 roasted pork. The star of the dish is the creamy and spicy jalapeño sauce. I'm going back soon.

Thanks so much for joining us for lunch recently! I'm glad your enjoyed your salbutes, and you're right that the jalapeno sauce is the best part of the dish! You're always welcome to add it to anything you order. We want to spread the good flavors as much as we can. :) More

I love the food at Mayan Cafe! I order either the cochinita pibil or the salmon. Both are delicious! For dessert I like the bread pudding or the chocolate lava ...if the restaurant were closer or I had a bigger budget I would visit more often. The food is totally worth the price, though.

Thanks so much for dining with us. You're hitting on all of our classic dishes! We haven't served the lava cake in a bit, but we should totally bring it back; it's so yummy. Thanks for your support! More
