There are so many things that make this restaurant a fantastic and special dining experience. First, the service, which started when I called to say we were running late as we had been planning to walk from our hotel but we were now waiting out a downpour. Kevin, the maitre'd, answered the call and hearing about our predicament came and collected us - wow, that was over and above! The amazing service just continued from there as we were looked after in the truest sense of the word by Casey, assisted by Tyler. They did a great job plating the food at the side of the table - something that is a little unusual but adds a lot to the experience and shows the pride all the servers have for the food they serve.
And the food is great! I had the baked artichokes with crab and scallops, followed by the Vitello saltimbocca and my husband had the beef and veal crepe followed by shrimp spaghetti, which was the biggest serving we had ever seen. We were given a delicious complimentary dessert of Reeses peanut butter cup cheesecake accompanied by blackberry mousse served in little dark chocolate shells. Jake the chef came to talk to us as our dessert was served and explained he had decided to make the mousse after collecting fresh blackberries that morning from a friends farm. It was all utterly delicious. Special mention also for their cocktails - definitely recommend you try at least one!
Because of Covid the restaurant was almost empty apart from a few other couples but they still managed to create a lovely ambience and the decor is gorgeous. The attention they gave to us made us feel like we were in private dining and they are all rightly very proud of their restaurant. If you are in Louisville, push the boat out and visit this little gem, well worth it!

Excellent atmosphere and food. Highly recommend the Limoncello martini as a cocktail. My server was a gem and able to get me a smaller portion of the delicious ravioli so I would have room for the unbelievable Veal Saltimbocca. Cheesecake was divine and he even gifted me with a couple of cannoli. I was solo and enjoying the people watching. There were probably 6 different servers that checked up on me or came by to talk. What a wonderful place!

Waitstaff made this a very pleasant experience, even though we showed up very casually dressed after a long journey. The veal was rated highly, but the pairing of chicken with Gorgonzola didn’t work quite as well and was a little over-cooked. Vegetables were nicely cooked and presented, Delicious looking dessert tray- we shared an Italian buttercream cake between 3 and it was more than enough.

We dined here based on a recommendation. It was okay, but it was not worth what we paid. The environment was very nice and held promise, but the food was mediocre, the service was depressing, and we left disappointed. We would not go back - ever.
BEWARE: They charge $18 to “split” an entree. Pretty miserable considering we had drinks, two appetizers, entree and dessert; AND they added an automatic a 20% gratuity for a party of two as a “convenience”! Pathetic.

A classic Italian restaurant with a great whiskey selection, prompt friendly service, enjoyable food in a good atmosphere. Our waiter was very attentive, drinks and food arrived quickly, all enjoyable. The house salad was delicious, we had a pasta appetizer, and I had the veal which was flavorful. A good experience in a semiprivate area where we could have conversation. Enjoyable evening.

An easy walk from parking structure to restaurant to the Kentucky Center for the Arts makes this one of our favorites for dinner before the show. We always make reservations for an early dinner to allow enough time for food service and walking. Wait staff are attentive and we are seated upon arrival. Entree is warmed table side and served. The entire dining experience is exceptional from the beverages to the dessert. The food is well seasoned and delicious.

Giving 2 stars as the service was great. Ordered the Spaghetti with Lobster. Dish cam455e with 1/2 a lobster tail that was over cooked. Pieces of the butt end of asparagus. Overall under seasoned, mostly just a butter sauce. Restaurant was super loud and crowded. I really wish I complained while I was there. The table service, reheating your meal on Sterno stoves was a nice show, ensured the food was over cooked. Has Caesar salads to start, tasted heavily of horseradish, thought ok maybe they are trying to be different, but really just wasn't right. Had several people say this is one of the best in Louisville, I now know better....

Overall we were very impressed. Amazing service, classy atmosphere, and most of the food was exceptional. It's really a beautiful restaurant and in our experience, the staff was very attentive.
Our only issue was with dessert. Tiramisu is our absolute favorite and honestly why we choose Italian restaurants, so we get it everywhere we can. Their tiramisu was easily the worst we've ever had. So dry we had to drink in between the few bites we took. Finally we just gave up. Not sure if it was just that stale or just that bad at baseline. No filling, no flavor, and absolutely no moisture. It was awful.
Still giving 5 stars because otherwise it was a lovely evening. They were out of the sea bass (which was why I chose the restaurant), but compensated by giving us a complimentary appetizer! And the service was top notch. Thank you.

Our experience was mundane in an overstated marketing draw. The menu is limited, so much so that our waiter(s) quickly pointed out without prompting that they can make off menu items.
The service was carried out by a mature service staff with a 1970’s Italian restaurant flair.
The food was underwhelming and the surroundings inconsistent with the theme carried out in the menu and staff. As if they took a fine dining Italian restaurant, staff and a few pictures and placed them in a space recently vacated by something, well, other than an Italian fine dining restaurant.
A full bar is available, the temperature in the room was comfortable and the noise level conducive for table conversation.

This restaurant has a classy feel with great presentation. The waiters wear suits and cook at your table. Food was reasonably priced, but the quality wines were pricey as expected. I would recommend this place for special occasions. One of the waiters sang an opera style song and a Sinatra song to one of the tables which was a nice touch.

We are relatively new to the area and chose to go to Vincenzo's this past weekend when we had tickets to the symphony. We loved the place! First, it is very elegant inside in an old building, beautifully decorated. The waiters all have on coats and a bow tie. It takes me back to the days when people dressed up for dinner and used their inside voices. But it is not stuffy at all. We chose the 3 course theatre menu. GREAT value. We started with the caesar salad which was excellent. Our entrees were linguini with meatballs and salmon. Both were excellent. Probably the best restaurant meatballs I have ever had. We finished with the cheesecake. Service is very attentive and with the theatre menu the staff is mindful of getting you out in time for the show. Our anniversary is in February and we plan to go back. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the city, in my opinion.

First hours of inside dining. As usual impeccable surroundings and service - although seems weird to be served by men in tuxedos wearing masks. I had squid ink pasta with seafood sauce and it was delicious. Had a "lo-cal " tiramisu for desert. Valet parking was available. Distensing was observed. The brothers Gabrielle continue the pre-lockdown great food and service!

Probably THE worst dining experience I've ever had! Service was unbearably slow and as impersonal as it gets. I expected a lot more than I got for the money I paid.
I've gotten better Italian food in the freezer section of my grocery store!
Would not recommend this establishment to anyone who really likes REAL Italian cuisine.

Pros: We arrived early but were seated promptly. The servers were impeccable in tuxes and their attitude and promptness were excellent. The wine list contained some excellent Italian choices.
Cons: The noise level is exceedingly high making conversation at a four person table essentially impossible without leaning forward and repeating what was said. The dress code as outlined on their website is nonexistent. Gentlemen in T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops sandals are allowed. If you plan on dining here wear whatever you wish.
My wife's selection "Ravioli Con Pollo, Spinaci Funghetti Mascarpone" was hopelessly oversalted to the point she was unable to eat it. My dish "Filetto Di Vitello Al Madeira" was overcooked to the point of dryness. The accompanying vegetable selections were poorly prepared and unappetizing.
A major disappointment.

Vincenzo’s is an experience. The service is incredible; waiters are quite attentive. The food is brought to you after your plate is heated by a burner right by your table. We were even treated to a song by an opera singer right at our table! The atmosphere is delightful, and I highly recommend having dinner at Vincenzo’s.
