Vincenzo’s is an experience. The service is incredible; waiters are quite attentive. The food is brought to you after your plate is heated by a burner right by your table. We were even treated to a song by an opera singer right at our table!...The atmosphere is delightful, and I highly recommend having dinner at Vincenzo’s.More

Pros: We arrived early but were seated promptly. The servers were impeccable in tuxes and their attitude and promptness were excellent. The wine list contained some excellent Italian choices. Cons: The noise level is exceedingly high making conversation at a four person table essentially impossible...without leaning forward and repeating what was said. The dress code as outlined on their website is nonexistent. Gentlemen in T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops sandals are allowed. If you plan on dining here wear whatever you wish. My wife's selection "Ravioli Con Pollo, Spinaci Funghetti Mascarpone" was hopelessly oversalted to the point she was unable to eat it. My dish "Filetto Di Vitello Al Madeira" was overcooked to the point of dryness. The accompanying vegetable selections were poorly prepared and unappetizing. A major disappointment.More

Having had the privilege of dining at fine Italian restaurants all over Italy many times as well as in cities famous for variants of that culinary Paradise called italy, I stand by the comment above. What kind of Italian restaurant has few tomato based or...wine-based pasta dishes? No parmigiano-style dishes nor great bread and olive oil but rather little rolls and butter were what we were served. It's a lovely place and service was good but Italian it's not. Good food but at prices you would expect for great food.More

This restaurant has a classy feel with great presentation. The waiters wear suits and cook at your table. Food was reasonably priced, but the quality wines were pricey as expected. I would recommend this place for special occasions. One of the waiters sang an opera...style song and a Sinatra song to one of the tables which was a nice touch.More

We came upon this place knowing nothing about it. We likely were underdressed, but so were a few others. It is a beautiful place and the wait staff are in tuxedos. They finish your dishes tableside. Just amazing service. The food is very good too....We stayed almost to closing time talking and then went to the bar for a couple drinks afterward. The bartender was professional and friendly. I was so happy we stumbled upon this place.More

What a grand evening we experienced tonight at this fine dining restaurant! Alien, David and the owner were gracious and professional .. eager to give us an exceptional evening. The owner and impressive staff prepared and served dinner by our table.. the dinners were varied...in our party, all were healthy portions and tastefully prepared. We would highly recommend this restaurant that has stood the test of time in Louisville.. Thank you all for a wonderful evening. The Grants.More

We are relatively new to the area and chose to go to Vincenzo's this past weekend when we had tickets to the symphony. We loved the place! First, it is very elegant inside in an old building, beautifully decorated. The waiters all have on coats...and a bow tie. It takes me back to the days when people dressed up for dinner and used their inside voices. But it is not stuffy at all. We chose the 3 course theatre menu. GREAT value. We started with the caesar salad which was excellent. Our entrees were linguini with meatballs and salmon. Both were excellent. Probably the best restaurant meatballs I have ever had. We finished with the cheesecake. Service is very attentive and with the theatre menu the staff is mindful of getting you out in time for the show. Our anniversary is in February and we plan to go back. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the city, in my opinion.More

Waitstaff made this a very pleasant experience, even though we showed up very casually dressed after a long journey. The veal was rated highly, but the pairing of chicken with Gorgonzola didn’t work quite as well and was a little over-cooked. Vegetables were nicely cooked...and presented, Delicious looking dessert tray- we shared an Italian buttercream cake between 3 and it was more than enough.More

Went here on business and was very impressed. We had appetizers that were very good. I had a fish that melted in my mouth. The tiramisu was unbelievable. I also had a mojito that was really good. The servers were all over it.

My friend and I visited Vencinzo’s while in town for a conference #adosaf. We arrived later than our reservation but we were still graciously accommodated. I loved the ambiance and the demeanor of all of the employees there. But most of all Levert stole our...night. He was so kind and his energy was soothing and so classy. We opted in to the champagne Dinner where 2 of the 4 courses are prepared in front of your table. Levert prepared everything with ease and it was all so delicious! I did not want to leave but we did snag a picture with one of the best servers I have ever had! The prices were very reasonable. I will 💯 return again and Levert must wine and dine us again!🥰More

A classic Italian restaurant with a great whiskey selection, prompt friendly service, enjoyable food in a good atmosphere. Our waiter was very attentive, drinks and food arrived quickly, all enjoyable. The house salad was delicious, we had a pasta appetizer, and I had the veal...which was flavorful. A good experience in a semiprivate area where we could have conversation. Enjoyable evening.More

Vincenzo's is one of the last really remarkable family restaurants still around. We planned a business dinner for 19 in the chef's room and we impressed the minute we arrived. The waitstaff is professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. It is obvious that this is more than...a business establishment, it is a family. The food was amazing, delicious, and fresh. From start to finish a wonderful experience.More

Great atmosphere…. And great service…. We felt really invited as the staff talked to us and greeted us upon arrival. The environment was great as well very elegant. The food was just ok for the price point though. My food seemed precooked and warmed up...on some dishes. We had the artichoke appetizer and I don’t know if it was supposed to be served Luke warm but it was. I had the veal and it was decent but again tasted like it had been cooked earlier and maybe warmed up. The cheesecake was delicious! The tiramisu was not a traditional tiramisu but a cake flavored with coffee with layers of cream. It was not you would expect but it was still very good! Overall a great experience but the food could have been better for the price.More

Our experience was mundane in an overstated marketing draw. The menu is limited, so much so that our waiter(s) quickly pointed out without prompting that they can make off menu items. The service was carried out by a mature service staff with a 1970’s Italian...restaurant flair. The food was underwhelming and the surroundings inconsistent with the theme carried out in the menu and staff. As if they took a fine dining Italian restaurant, staff and a few pictures and placed them in a space recently vacated by something, well, other than an Italian fine dining restaurant. A full bar is available, the temperature in the room was comfortable and the noise level conducive for table conversation.More
