The lobby and the bar made my stay. I only found this as I was staying here but I would go out of my way to have a cocktail here even if you are staying somewhere else.

Ask for Alex, she is knowledgeable about the local area and can get you started on the Urban Bourbon Trail. Great Old Fashioned and wonderful atmosphere and the piano is a great addition. Enjoy

We had cocktails every evening in the Lobby Bar and what a joy it was. Be certain to try the Ali's Smash.

So let's just say it, its the history and ambiance that makes having cocktails here above average. Our waitress was pleasant and professional, attentive and prompt. The food, and of course I had the HOT BROWN, was good, not great, not the WOW I was expecting. Certainly did not live up to the hype. But the turkey was tender, and... More

I had the pleasure of living here and as well as traveling in and I'd recommend the Brown Lobby bar for both. It's retained all of its historical feel, with the exception of the TV over the bar, which is rumored to have caused Mr. Brown to haunt the place in displeasure, but you can watch a game if you... The Brown Hotel lobby is a great place for cocktails and appetizers. The full meals are great, too, but I would choose the hotel's full restaurant for full meals instead, just because the lobby bar can get crowded and noisy. A wonderful experience for drinks!

A friend & I went for dinner prior to a show at the Brown Theatre next door. We were at the farthest end of the area (a LONG mezzanine), but staff kept checking on us & were very attentive to make sure we were out in time for the show. Food was delicious! I'll sure look forward to returning. I... More
