Nothing is more pleasing than being in a busy restaurant. The only downside to this unique place was that they were too busy to seat us in the 30-40 minutes they shared. It took us about an hour and 15 minutes to get a seat, and if it wasn't 100 degrees out we might not be bothered by it. They... More

Everything I've ever had here has been amazing (entrees, apps, sides). Ribs are some of the best I've ever eaten!! On par with Pappys in St Louis. Just great

I should have reviewed Hammerheads a few months ago after my first visit because it instantly became my favorite restaurant in the Louisville area. I have been back many times since then and everything I've tried has been amazing. Angus burger with brie cheese is maybe the best burger I've ever had. Fries with aioli, mac and cheese balls, asparagus,... More

Read previous reviews . So we decided to try it. It did not disappoint. The food was nice and fresh. We had the pork belly sandwich, chorizo sandwich, brisket taco and a basket of truffle fries. They were all good and filling. Took 2 teenagers and they gave it 2 thumbs up .

The dining experience was unique, original and a lot of fun. We enjoyed the variety, selection and the portions were more than adequate.

This is a hole-in-the-wall place in a basement. Great food though. Had the fried mac&cheese ball appetizer. Very good. But the highlight was the elk burger. Delicious. This place is worth waiting for a table.

Was lucky enough to grab two seats at the bar in this teeny tiny restaurant. Delicious food, fun atmosphere but always hopping! Get there early or be ready to wait, but it will be worth it!

In June, I went to Louisville for a conference and was disappointed by many of the restaurants that I frequented. However, when I went to Hammerheads, it was like the heavens opened with delicious food, great beverages, and amazing service. The restaurant/bar is tiny and located in the basement of a house just outside of the Highlands district in Louisville.... More

Saturday evening, 6 people July 2. Great food and service. Very small, maybe seats about 60 people. Loud. Worth a wait. There are no reservations and no wait list. They will not seat you until everyone is present. We arrived at 4:45 p.m. They don't open until 5 p.m. but were taking names. So we were able to be seated... More

First time in Louisville Search 3 websites to come up with Hammerhead. It was in a basement in a semi residential area. When we got to Hammerhead it was already very busy at 6:30. We got the last table. We now see a long line out the door. Very popular local Restaurant. Our soft shell crab taco was fresh and... More
