Never had a restaurant tell me that I can't have dessert because the kitchen is closed. A complete dish to be cooked, but a thing of bread pudding, or key lime pie? Never had the server deliver something that is not what is described on...the menu and say it is. Then bad service. We sat at the bar, wait for a table was too long. 3 people behind the bar, 1 not happy to be there, one we never engaged with, and the 3rd was fantastic! Explained Bourbon to us. 1st bartender was not pleasant. Coworkers got what they ordered, mine was supposed to be ribs with a sauce. I got a dry rub instead. The ribs were good. The dry rub I did not like! Ribs had no sides, I think the menu had just ribs but I never got the chance to add sides. The server didn't point out that I had no sides, my fault. Should have asked. A coworker had cornbread with order and gave it to me. Went to pick it up and it dissolved into a pile of crumbs. Sucked but the cornbread had good flavor. ! After dinner we asked for a dessert menu, was told no, the kitchen was closed. It was after closing time. We were starting to drink the bourbons, which you poured! Asked if we could get bread pudding. Was told no. Asked for key lime pie. Told no. Asked for a manager. The person who came I don't believe was the manager. She told us the kitchen is closed. Desserts are already made; you slice it, and you serve it! You lost the profits from the dessert and the bourbon.More

We came here with friends and their two very young kids. The food was decent but the service was slow. I am sure that because of Covid they are short staffed like everyone else these days but when the two YO started to get fussy...the server didn’t seem to get the message. At dessert only a couple of the items we ordered came out and it took forever (it was just scoops of ice cream). I had to ask for the final dessert.More

We went here for my birthday. Love, love, love. Our server was great, the experience was a lot of fun and the food was the best BBQ I've ever had. The ribs were amazing. I would highly recommend it!

Ordered the sampler with some of the best St. Louis ribs I've ever had. The wife had salmon which was surprisingly good for a BBQ spot. Service was a bit slow but all around a very good experience with great food.

The food and drinks were outstanding. The short rib falls off of the bone and the hush puppies were perfectly cooked and had a nice jalapeño kick. Definitely check this out if you are in Louisville.

Friendly service. Mind-blowing list of bourbons. Delicious portobello/fried green tomato/slaw "burger" (no meat). Really excellent house made chips.

The muscles were really good and the sauce was great for dipping the Texas toast. I was disappointed in the lack of smoke flavor in the meat. We had brisket and ribs neither of which had smoke flavor. Good thing the barbecue sauce was good,...otherwise there wouldn't have been much flavor to the meat.More

Doc Crows was recommended on our hotel's food guide. It was near our hotel and we were seated in the very back of the restaurant without reservations. We tried a bourbon tasting and I'd recommend the "sip" instead of the "taste." There is more than...enough in a taste for two people - at least two people who do not like straight bourbon! Brisket was bland and unlike what we can get at our local brisket place. Our waitress was very attentive and helped answer our questions.More

My five year old grandson said we would love this restaurant and he was right! The brisket sandwich melted in my mouth. The wedge salad was perfect, and the oyster po-boy was great as were the craft beers. Really enjoyed lunch here and recommend you...check it out yourself.More

There is a lot of construction on the street currently. When we visited the front sidewalk was torn up and there was wood planking covering the walkup. I would call as the parking and sidewalk may be difficult to maneuver... More

Reservations are advisable. Will save you a big bar bill unless you like to sit and watch people eat while waiting for your turn. Enjoy, Joe

You could bring a baby but it's a loud place and mostly "adult" oriented.
