We have been here a few times before and always enjoyed. The people are so good to us and the food has always been well done. They pioneered the farm to table in this area and made it work. I understand they may be closing...their doors due to Corona, which would be a shame.More

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The menu is well thought out, well executed, and showcases local farmers and the chef's talent. The wine list is thoughtfully curated. The ambiance is fun and hip, it's a great spot for a causal drink and app,...special date night, or anything in between.More

Just wow, party of five and everyone raved. Fried chicken superb, another had smoked mushroom pasta was excellent. Great beer, wine and bourbon selection. Really cool they feature the local farmers in large photos as decor and have a map from where they source ingredients....Definitely phenomenal theme, thank you.More

We once again had their burgers - excellent flavor, service and general vibe. The Alabama White Sauce was not offered this time - it should be a staple on the menu! I had the pickled slaw and didn't care for it one bit. I wonder...who would and also wonder why? They need to rethink that dish - pickled "this and that" dishes are popular in Louisville - not my idea of great flavor… Our waitress was engaging and knowledgeable - we'll return!More

We enjoyed such a fabulous dinner here on a previous visit that our son and daughter-in-law suggested we come back for breakfast this visit. Terrific staff was helpful with descriptions and suggestions. We settled on the Malted waffle, farmers omelette, and chef’s specials strata and...the hoagy. Too many ingredients to describe, but everything was perfectly combined into delicious awesomeness. With all the wonderful restaurants in Louisville, Harvest is a must. We will definitely return to what has become “our” table, 81.More

First time visit. Had the cornbread and pretzel and beer cheese for appetizers. Both excellent. Had the steak dish. Excellent. Burgers were very good. Large bourbon menu. Nice setting. Great service. Parking only on street. Brussels sprouts are fantastic. Carrots leave you wanting more. Only...issue is it is on expensive side, but service and food quality speak to that high level.More

Wonderful time. I had the grits and Burgoo it was wonderful. The hot peppers really brought out the Burgos and grits taste. Our dessert were cookies and hot chocolate. It was all superb. High price.

So much hype, so little to write home about. Pity the gastronomic who finds themselves here, in search of a delicious meal. Everything is deconstructed and re-imagined, but not in a good way. The biscuits served as an appetizer were the size of croutons, my...salad with the boiled squash was flavorless and limp, and my cheddar broccoli soup was unexpectedly spicy. My friend's vegetarian risotto looked very unappetizing with no flair in plating, but even worse, it too was unexpectedly spicy. It's a risotto. One orders it expecting perhaps a twist, but not a curve ball. And there's the rub. Every meal at my table of four seemed like it was trying too hard. Trying too hard to be innovative and fresh, inventive and high-brow. In the end, when you try too hard at too many things, everything will be a wash. That's just how this evening felt. And, unfortunately for us, a large bill to swallow. Save room for dessert next door at Louisville Ice Cream.More

We went to Harvest for dinner when visiting Louisville for the first time on the recommendation of Hotel staffer at 21cMuseum as it was his personal favorite. It is a farm to table type menu and the food was good. I would not say it...was exceptional. I gave it an overall average rating not because of the food but the atmosphere. It was LOUD in there. It was busy, full of groups of people gathering after work. We could not hear each other talk but could hear both tables beside us and behind us very well. Ceilings were low and metal type which makes for bad acoustics like so many restaurants have...look cool but can't hear anything in them. We made reservations for 2 early that morning. They seated us along a wall with a common bench type seating down one side and chairs for the outside sandwiched in between a table of 6 and a table of 4 of very loud and animated groups. You know the kind of table situation where you look at the clearance for getting into your booth seat and wonder if you will wipe out both table tops of food as you manuevre your way in hoping not to sit on someone's cell phone or purse? The table top itself was barely big enough for our glassware, silverware and appetizer. They call it a table for two but really only accommodates one person...if they want to eat anything. Again not uncommon for restaurants to do this but very uncomfortable for the guest. When I'm paying $150 for two for dinner I like to be comfortable and her the person I am dining with. As we exited we noticed an area up toward the front and to the side that would be more suited to our taste, as we like to have conversation at diner without having to yell at each other. If I went back I would make a point to ask for a quiet area if there is anything available. Our bad for not speaking up, generally we do, not sure why we settled. And their bad for not recognizing that we were not "30 somethings" and may appreciate a quieter area.More
