This is a rather peculiar bar. Mostly people in their late 50s and up. Seating is outside. It's very confusing rather to go inside and order, or wait for a server. We ended up doing both. Even when ordering from a server , you pay...immediately for each drink. Cash only. Everyone smokes and it can be a bit overwhelming. Even the servers smoke while taking orders and bringing out food. Wasn't a terrible experience, but probably won't go back.More

We were actually trying to get in to a BBQ place down the road but it was crowded. We had passed this place on the way in so thought we would give it a try. What a lucky break! This place is absolutely first choice....It is a classic bar & grill with great ambience. Would love to see it during the summer when we can sit outside. The beer was ice cold and delivered fast. The menu was bar food but that does not do it justice. The fries were crispy and delicious. The roast beef sliders were perfect. There were home made red velvet cupcakes afterwards! How can you beat that? Don't pass this place by!More

My son lives not too far from Rose and Jim’s. We finished a round of golf and headed there to quinch our thirst. Golfers mingle with bikers and everyone is cool and the vibe is friendly. $2.00 ice cold domestics ‘cash only’. Place is straight...out of 1977 but with a fresh new appeal. Food looked good coming out of the kitchen. So refreshing that when most places are trying desperately to find themselves, Rose and Jim’s know exactly who they are!More

We got done at a horse show late, after 11:00 at night, and asked Siri where we could still get dinner. She found Rose and Jim’s Bar and, sure enough, the kitchen was still open. We ordered their cheese burgers and waffle fries. The burgers...were made the old fashioned way with sliced pickles, delicious onions along with a generous tomato and lots of shredded lettuce. The meal was complimented with Kentucky ales. We enjoyed them outdoors while watching the local patrons play corn hole. We enjoyed it so much we went a second night, but beware that the crowd is much larger on weekend nights!More
