We were in town to drop our daughter off at university of Kentucky and took her to Tony’s. It was a great choice. The food was amazing as was the service! Our waiter, Jackson, was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The meal was priced at the...high end and, at those prices, we expected a wonderful experience and that’s exactly what we received!More

We loved the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere at Tony’s. There is a large beautiful bar. The service is excellent. Servers really know the menu and the features.

The food was amazing, the crab cake was the best crab cake I have ever had. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The bread pudding was amazing I wish I had not shared it with my husband. The wait staff were polite very helpful courteous...that was Troy and Zack they made the experience wonderful. The manager David Johnson did make us uncomfortable because he kept pointing at our table and telling other guests that they could have our table when we left we had reservations and we wanted to just enjoy our meal without people staring at us wanting us to hurry up and finish. Other than the manager I would have given this a five-star instead of a four again well worth going to.More

Greeted outside by staff who opened the door. Hostess responsive to sitting at a table out of the way of traffic. Wait staff attentive but not over-bearing or “in your face”, made great recommendations and offered suggestions about wine pairings. Comfortable environment. We had oysters...on the half shell and the fried calamari as appetizers. Both were superb. My husband had the lamb and said it was the most tender lamb he had ever had . The wait staff recommended medium rare for my tuna; this came out perfectly done. The Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly—slightly firm but obviously cooked. We shared cheesecake for dessert. The cappuccino was made with a quality coffee. The manager was visible out in the restaurant and asked us how we enjoyed our meal. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend.More

Being our first fine dining opportunity after a year of Covid, we were looking forward to an evening at Tony’s. I would not go so far as to say we were disappointed, but certainly not thrilled. We ordered drinks, I a bourbon on the rocks,...my wife a Manhattan. Hers came with no garnish, mine had the ice already melted in the drink because of the time it must have set, waiting to be picked up. We ordered a dozen Miyagi oysters, and they delivered six of them with six blue points. Apology from the server. We ordered a bottle of excellent Cabernet which arrived barely in time to taste before the entree was served, and the server had the temerity to instruct us at length on the need to “let it breath.” Now I have been drinking good wine since long before she was born, and lessons are not required. Jane made the best entree selection, the nine ounce filet with a bearnaise sauce, it was perfectly cooked, medium rare, and the she proclaimed the sauce excellent. I ordered the rack of lamb, medium rare, and was warned by the server the rack was cooked whole, so the ends might be more medium! I told here I was not interested in “medium” lamb, and when it was delivered, the whole rack was cooked evenly to medium rare. The problem with the lamb was the steak knife they presented was so dull it required considerable hacking to cut between the chops, to the point the presentation was essentially ruined. The sauce was, however, very good. The best part of the evening was the desert, a luscious chocolate layer cake, fresh, and delicious. The biggest problem with the evening was the server who constantly talked so fast as to be nearly unintelligible, and did not take time to listen. This resulted in her apology for something or other almost every time she came to the table. The other downside to the place is the noise levels. It started out with a nice burble of voices but as the evening progressed it rose to a level that required leaning across the table to be heard. Overall, it could have been great but missed the mark with inattention to details.More

We celebrated my husband's birthday last weekend. The experience was perfect from the front door greeting to the service, food, and wine. They do it right. The food was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. The restaurant was sparkling clean. The service was the best we...have experienced in a long time. The staff did their jobs with excellence in every way. My husband dropped his napkin and did not know it until the waiter brought him a replacement. We observed one waiter drop a piece of bread off the tray and within seconds the staff member behind him picked it up. The waiter never saw it and poor guy went looking for that bread and could not find it. I almost told him that his coworker grabbed it up in about 3 seconds!!!More

In town for my daughter's delayed graduation ceremony from 2020. Took her to Tony's for dinner . Everything was awesome from the service to the meal. Thank you to our waiter James for making it a night to remember. And, the 28 day, dry aged...will feed her 3 meals! We will be back.More

Lots of hits, very few misses! Coming from Nashville, there really are not many choices for good steaks and seafood in Lexington, so this restaurant is a nice addition. The table of various ages unanimously agreed on the Wedges as the fan fave, lol! Everyone...enjoyed their food, only one entree was voted as flavorless and it was removed from check which was nice but not necessary. Salads were delicious--we did dine with one vegetarian and the pasta dishes were good to have available. Our vegetarian normally gets offered an "off the menu" dish from the Chef, but not offered here--prob because of the pasta availability. She said her pasta was "fine". The stars were the steaks and seafood. Hands down. Waiter was very good as was the support staff. Nice wine list.More

Nice upscale dining. The restaurant was packed, lots of locals and regulars. This was our first time dining there. Service was a bit overwhelmed. We had a variety of dishes. The lamb was the best thing on the table, tender and a substantial portion. The...roasted chicken was juicy. The side of thick asparagus was cooked perfectly. The pasta was terrible, and I do not recommend ordering pasta. The chef preparing it had no conception of a true Italian sauce preparation. As for the Mac and cheese (kind of a different category of pasta making), it was good. Standard cavatappi, creamy cheese sauce with breadcrumbs. Maybe stick to other classic American fare, it seemed to be what excelled on our table. They focus on larger portion sizes. The wine selection was fabulous, really just an outstanding bottle of wine.More

This was our first time at Tony's. It is located in a historic building downtown. It was a quick walk from the Hyatt Hotel, where we were staying. It is a very popular restaurant with the locals so a reservation is highly recommended. Our table...was ready for us when we arrived. They had a great jazz duo playing music that we could hear throughout the whole building. The service was very professional and attentive. The food, atmosphere, and cocktails were all excellent. This restaurant is perfect for a special occasion or for a nice dining experience.More
