Having just moved to the Lexington area we are always on the look out for great restaurants (of which there are many in Lexington). Portofino is consistently fabulous! The prices are reasonable (for an upscale restaurant) and cocktails are delicious the staff is wonderful and most evenings you'll see the owner Wayne mingling with guests. Portofino is a must when... Very good food, excellent service, reasonable prices and a nice venue. Just what I wanted. Joined friends for dinner and had great cocktails and wines.

We went there for our anniversary. We enjoyed a couple of fine martinis The cheese plate and bruschetta were fabulous. Wish they had more vegetarian options on the menu. I chose the only option, a mushroom ravioli. It was very good and very rich, glad we shared it.

Our first night in Lexington, my party of three enjoyed the bar offerings and a meal. Must have a top 3 bourbon list in town, which was a delight to this connoisseur. I saw over 40 on the menu that I already knew, and sampled two that were new to me. The dinner menu is very nicely varied. The short... More

Portofino is a delightful restaurant. The food is delicious and the wine list is extensive and well priced (it has a wine spectator award). The bruschetta was amazing! The atmosphere is small and intimate, with indoor and outdoor dining. We were very pleased by our experience here and highly recommend it.

We had a group of 20+ for dinner, and the side room (just inside the patio) where we were served was set up well. The hors d'oeuvres were hot and tasty, and they accommodated our need for a "cash bar". Our 2 servers were excellent and attentive, although our table of 6 was only offered one of their VERY extensive... More

My girlfriends and I came for lunch on Monday may 16th. It was not crowded. We waited a long time to be seated, not even a hello we'll be right with you. Then we waited 20 mins to be asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a house Chardonnay. Our waitress Sara didn't bring us a wine list,... More

Went to Portofino with friends before the James Taylor concert. Took a while, but was able to order drinks and an appetizer. Very good. Took a while but ordered entree. Waited. Waited. Waiter came out and said that they were understaffed but it would be 5-10 minutes. 15 minutes later he came out and said that food was still not... More

Bruschetta was good, and easy to share. Tuna was cooked at the ideal temperature; however, the food was barely memorable because of the poor service. Drink order forgotten, bread brought to table after the appetizer, three hours for a dinner with no dessert!

We were in town to go to Keeneland and ate at Portofino's on a Saturday night. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The bruschetta was amazing. I had the goat cheese, Apple and pecan salad and it was wonderful. My entry was the shrimp & scallop pasta. Great! Our cocktails were... More
