This is a wonderful place to eat! We were lucky and got a place at the bar and that was perfect for us. If you want a place at a table, I suggest going early because they get busy. The food and drinks were both...awesome and the service was amazing! We will definitely return when we are back in town.More

Said it on Google and saying it here too. Met the owner who creeped on my friend and me, as did he bartender. Food was decent, but over-priced as were the drinks. Don’t waste your time or money. Dine and drink elsewhere if you're a...woman and want to feel safe and respectedMore

We had great expectations for this restaurant, as it was so highly ranked. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The restaurant was crowded and extremely loud. The seating area was cramped. It was $7 for a bag of nacho chips and a small trio of okay...salsas. Our daughter had the Chipotle Mac And Cheese (it is an appetizer, so we didn’t expect it to be a large serving). My husband, son and myself had taco trio. The tacos were street style and had very little filling in them. For $14 per plate, that was a hefty price for a mediocre meal. Overall, it was a big disappointment and I would not recommend.More

Great food with great service! This food was amazing - we visits on Sunday evening and were able to be seated right away. It’s small inside but we got comfy booth that felt very cozy. The salsa trio and guacamole were delicious! The quinoa dish...with shrimp was good but nothing extraordinary. My husband raved on his shrimp street tacos. Save room for the churro dessert!More

Corto Lima used to be my favorite place to visit, but after COVID, it hasn’t been the same. Last time we went, we were told it would be an hour wait. We ended up waiting two hours and some of the staff were rude and...unhelpful, apart from our waiter who was friendly and prompt. I love their margaritas, but two people in my party got the caipirinha and it was so bad that neither of them took more than one drink. They were out of a lot of their menu items, which I wish we would have been told earlier.More

Although the service was very good, our meals left something to be desired. My husband’s tamales barely contained a shred of pork, and my tacos were incredibly small with limited, dry, shredded pork and a fiery topping. The guacamole was the best part of the...meal, while the salsa appetizer was so so and quite pricey for the size.More

3.5 stars, good but not as good as hyped. I came across Corto y Lima (named for the intersection) planning out our food options in Lexington. I knew impressing us would be a tall order, we have some amazing Latin options back home, but was...excited to taste what they had to offer. I was a bit concerned that there would be a long wait since they don't take reservations, but we got in rather quickly on a Thursday evening. PRO TIP: If you're offered the last two bar seats on the Limestone side by the wall, wait for something better. Our original seats sucked, there are a bunch of plants on the bar right there and you're in the bartender's blindspot. As soon as two other seats opened, we moved and the movement was what caught his attention (he was apologetic about ignoring us). We started out with two Rocoto or spiced margaritas, shrimp ceviche, and papas en la latta. All were good, but the papas, a last minute add by me we're unexpectedly great and the star of our meal. The ceviche was good, but I would've preferred a ceviche delivery device with it - chips, cucumber or jicama slices. There was some crunch to it from the corn nuts mixed in. For our mains, my husband got the smoked pork tacos and I got the crispy shrimp tacos; I wavered between that and the sugar cane shrimp, but went with the bartender's rec. The tacos are on the smaller side and come with rice and beans (the drunken beans have pork). Husband thought his tacos were very pork forward, meaning the flavors of the dish weren't all that pronounced. I did not love my tacos. I thought the shrimp was too crispy and the breading overpowered any of the complementary flavors. To cap off his meal, he had a pour from their mezcal list, which was pretty tasty. All in all, nice place, friendly service, but the food didn't live up to the hype for us.More

Food and service was top notch, different than your normal Mexican restaurant, We lived in Texas for several years, I love Tres leches cake, this was literally the best I have ever had, The mango frozen Margaret was also excellent, if back in the area...would definitely return.More

My husband and I went for lunch. Guacamole and chips were excellent, and my chicken tacos were good. Rather limited menu. No quesadillas, which I normally get. My husband got something that was translated as chicken wings. His was terrible. The meat was chopped into...tiny pieces and dry throughout .The staff was very good.More

Loved the quirky menu and food. This place is full of energy and the staff did an excellent job on a very crowded Saturday night!

Absolutely great place for some great food. The taste is absolutely perfect so you know the quality of the ingredients as soon as you take a bite. It is deceiving that the portions appear small but there is more there than you think. Very filling.

We arrived by 5:30’ish for an early dinner and there was already a line starting to form! A very popular place! We had excellent service and great recommendations. Our son had a peach habanero marquerita and I had a prickly pear - both delicious! We...had a chicken chimichera (?) for appetizer - very plentiful for 3! Then we had the special brisket tacos and my husband had the sugar cane shrimp. Everything was very good!! This was our sons first visit and he chose for his birthday. He was pleased!! Certainly will return!More

Arrived on a Thursday evening and were told about a 40 minute wait for a table. Thankfully, it was just cool. After 45 minutes, we were summoned and learned that they had opened a small dining room upstairs. Had to walk up two steep flights...of stairs to reach our table. Once we caught our breath, we ordered the salsa trio and chips. Of the three, the pineapple Serrano was my favorite. Opted for the pork tacos as my entree, which came three per order. Although small, they were packed full of pieces of seasoned pork, salsa, and queso. Quite delicious. Although black beans and rice is the posted side, we were offered another. Pinto beans, we bits of bacon, and a spicy mix. Very good. Considering that our server had to pivot back and forth between our dining room upstairs and patio tables street side, our service was quite good. Prices were also a positive. Can see why they are so highly rated.More

Wow! Was walking around downtown and started to get hungry and came across this restaurant. Asked if there was a wait and we was immediately seated. Waiter immediately came over and gave us a run down. We ordered guacamole for starters and it was absolutely...amazing! Wife ordered chicken tacos and I ordered the pulled pork tacos! Absolutely delicious! Definitely will return.More
