Excellent menu, food and service. We dropped in on our way through Lexington around 7:00 Sunday night. Fortunately there were a few open tables in this busy place. Interesting menu; surprised to see Pisco and cachaca on the spirits list. Service friendly and very prompt....Food delicious and very prompt. Prices fair for the high quality. Will be back when in Lexington! Street parking; not sure about other parking options nearby.More

Delicious food in a stylish, cozy restaurant. The crispy shrimp tacos served with rice and beans were standouts. Make sure to start with the queso blanco.

Corto Lima is a small, but airy restaurant with an excellent location (as it’s name suggests) at the corner of Short and Limestone. Perhaps because of their limited seating, the restaurant doesn’t accept reservations for parties of less than five. They have an efficient system...of assigning tables, so our wait was acceptable. The service was very good and friendly. The food was generally very good. We started with the trio of salsas and chips. Unfortunately, they chose to use a quite refined quality of corn meal in the chips, which made them very generic. If they were to switch to a coarser grind, the chips would have more bite and flavor…like in Mexico. The three salsas were disappointing. The salsa verde had the distinct flavor of dill, which I didn’t think worked. The roasted tomato salsa was a bland, puréed pulp…neither fresh nor pungent. There was also a mango salsa which didn’t remind me of anything Mexican. Perhaps they were more Peruvian? After the salsa, things improved dramatically. Everyone had tacos and they were a hit. Interestingly, coarse-grain tortillas were used for these. I had the crispy shrimp tacos, which were perfectly combined with a flavorful sauce , peppers and cabbage. The tacos come with white rice, drenched with black beans. I like spicy flavors. After a liberal addition of their tasty habanero based ‘hot ‘ sauce, this was delicious. I also had two house margaritas which were very good and only $8! All together a good experience. Just a few details need some attention.More

Had the worst service ever. Girl wearing glasses with dark blonde hair in a pony tail. Saw her next to the bar on her phone the entire time. Another waitress had to refill waters, get silverware, etc. Horrible service, will not go back.

We were in Lexington for one night and landed on Corto Lima as our dinner choice. We took seats at the bar and had a great evening. All the food we had (guacamole, elote salad and jackfruit empanadas) was delicious, and they have an amazing...selection of tequilas. The bartenders were great and engaging and we enjoyed our time there immensely!More

On a Thursday evening, the line was out the door and the hostess was taking names and phone numbers for the waiting list. Glad we waited, as the food was absolutely superb. We had the steak tacos and blood orange margaritas. The food quality, preparation,...and presentation were top notch. Service was timely, knowledgeable, and friendly. We look forward to coming back. Note: Parking can be challenging.More

Dinner at Corto y Lima again when passing through Lexington, and we enjoyed it just as much as three years ago. Very creative interpretations of Mexican and other Latin American cuisine. The margaritas were excellent, and dinner as well -- queso blanco with just fried...chips, South American arepas, blue corn empanadas, and crispy shrimp tacos -- all delicious. I will add that this is a very busy, loud restaurant with high ceilings -- not for someone looking for an intimate setting (or with hearing impairments). But lots of fun and delicious food.More

Not sure how this made #1 the food was ok, everything was room temp. The Queso and chips were great and the mojito and margaritas were good. Service was excellent. Wouldn't go a second time. Nothing for kids to eat, not family friendly.

This is a wonderful place to eat! We were lucky and got a place at the bar and that was perfect for us. If you want a place at a table, I suggest going early because they get busy. The food and drinks were both...awesome and the service was amazing! We will definitely return when we are back in town.More

Said it on Google and saying it here too. Met the owner who creeped on my friend and me, as did he bartender. Food was decent, but over-priced as were the drinks. Don’t waste your time or money. Dine and drink elsewhere if you're a...woman and want to feel safe and respectedMore
