I visited the Jean Farris Winery for the first time. The setting and the drive to the restaurant is very nice. The service was excellent. The food was pretty good. I was disappointed that the Winery had lost all of their grapes, which was not their fault, however, I was looking forward to a sampling of their local wine. Three... More

This was winery #2 of the day. The atmosphere was very nice. Bar stools were not comfortable at all though. The bartender engaged in a good level of conversation with us, although when giving our change rounded in his favor. The tastings were done in flights of four wines and were pre-selected (Whites, Reds, Sweets). At first we did not... More

We go here about twice a month in the summer. We love their cheese and outdoor area as well as their happy hour. Their menu for dinner is rather small but we usually just do soup and salad. Around he holiday season they did a 20% off sale on gift cards which was handy! I've never had bad service here.... More

We visited later one evening after driving several hours to another location. They do their tastings more like a restaurant (which they are) than the typical winery. My wife had a flight of 4 wines that she liked and received a glass to go with it. We bought a bottle of blush that she liked and had an evening meal... More

This restaurant, while a little out of the way, is truly an excellent find! Menu is varied enough that we had a hard time deciding what to order. There were 4 of us and we all shared our meals....appetizers were excellent, and of course, the wines, too!

My son and I had dinner on May 16th at the Winery. The scallops and halibut were both excellent. Our server Brita H did a great job and suggested the cobbler and lemon icebox for desert which were excellent. Would definitely recommend the winery for dinner and wine paring.

We went to Jean Farris Winery for a family dinner after a college graduation. I cannot comment on their proprietary wines as we did not try them, but the food was excellent. We shared some mussels as an appetizer and they were delicious. I had the duck as my entree and other family members commented that the short ribs were... More

I was somewhat hesitant about visiting a winery/ restaurant in Kentucky. The menu choices were all good. The food was prepared very well and quite tasty. The wine offered is of course made from their vineyard. It actually is good wine. The Cabernet though is a bit light in body tasty a bit more like a Pinot noir. The seating... More

We usually go to Jean Farris for special occasions, but we both had a bad week at work and decided to treat ourselves on an ordinary Friday night. We started with the Cabernet and a sausage-n-cheese platter. YUMMY !! Then had a garden salad that we think was picked when we ordered it, the lettuce was so fresh !! My... More

Jean Farris Winery is in a very beautiful country setting south of Lexington. Very easy to get to. You can go for dinner or a wine tasting. There is a charge for the wine tasting. They do not allow you to pick and choose, instead they have a grouping of 4 of a specific type that run from $8 to... More

Description
We sit in the heart of all that is great, with a view that is timeless. We have taken these products, crafted and grown from across the state and region to create the wine, food, spirits, and cocktails that have made the name Jean Farris so much more than just a brand. For us Jean Farris is the wine, but it is at home on a table filled with friends. It's home is Kentucky.
