The new landlord is working hard to ensure a good impression. The staff were enthusiastic, polite and attentive. The food was top-notch, well-presented, tasty and inexpensive. Deserves to succeed.

Delighted this pub is returning to its former glory days with inspiring new landlords and a desire for excellent food, wine and ales. Perfect and highly recommended

Once we had found this pub, which is not in the centre of Whepstaead, first impressions were positive as there are tables out front and in the garden behind this well kept pub. The interior is darker but has scrubbed tables and an interesting selection of chairs. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent with... More

First time at this pub. I found on trip advisor as a place to meet up with a group of friends who regularly meet up and really pleased with the choice. We will definitely be meeting up here again. Really good food, all of us ordered Sunday Roast and the beef was really tender and delicious vegetables, plus friendly attentive... More

Popped in for light lunch - ham salad for about £7. Just what the doctor ordered. Will be back. New seating out front with lovely sun shades!

We arrived Saturday 30th with no prior booking. Very busy but were welcomed and made a table up for us in the bar area. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Would recommend without hesitation. Wish they did accommodation so I could have enjoyed a glass of wine on the last night of our holiday

We were advised to come here for a good meal, and the restaurant more than matched the recommendation. There were three dinner menus: a 2-3 course fixed price one, a "specials", and a broader a-la-carte type, so most people would find something to suit them. No ifs or buts - the food was excellent: tasty, well-cooked and nicely presented. It... More

We'd heard the White Horse had recently changed hands, as it's a pub we used to visit often but stopped going to, we thought we'd give a try. First impressions - good that the bar area has been restored and received a warm welcome from Darren, good to see he's still there. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with three choices of menu;... More
