New owners who are still finding their feet, ordered a chicken roast, got pork (no big deal) but food took forever on what seemed a quiet Sunday, Portion sizes all over the place, card machine not working. All day breakfast was the top dish on the menu, what's that all about?! It's trying to be a well established pub, not... More

We recently visited The Brewers for a family meal and were made to feel very welcome. There was plenty of choice on the menu, the prices were reasonable and the food was excellent. As the pub has changed hands so many times and we hadn't been for a while, we weren't sure what to expect but the atmosphere was perfect.... More

Called in here for a few drinks with family, leaving before New Year's Eve celebrations. Staff friendly and happy, couldn't be more accommodating. This pub has had a lot of new owners over previous years so will have to wait and see how this goes, that said I have no complaints after the couple of hours I spent here.

Reasonable food but we had booked a Christmas menu and the chef was annoyed we hadn't pre-ordered. On booking I'd been told that wasn't necessary. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The waiting staff were pleasant but not particularly professional in there approach.

A real roller coaster of a history even in very recent times. Currently too unpredictable to recommend a visit but hopefully there will be a period of stability where the current team understand the needs of the market.

We haven't had a meal for over 2 years and booked to take relatives. To be told by some friends that there had been several landlords over that time and the pub hadn't been great and was now under new management again (3 weeks ago). We turned up to find a very friendly landlady and a band setting up for... More

Popped in after a walk in the Rattlesden area. Initially a bit disappointed as only one of the four handpumps was operational but the beer was Wolfe's Sirius Dog Star and was in tip top condition. I opted for the Norfolk crab sarnie and my friend went for the ploughmans. Both were superb. The sarnie was a huge doorstep of... More

Three of us decided to meet up at this pub for lunch, having read some of the reviews and deciding to return there after a gap of 10 years (the gap being for family reasons, not previous disappointment). We gathered that the current landlord has been in post for about just 4 months. We were welcomed well enough by the... More

Popped in again for a lunchtime meal as I was passing by, nice to see it open unlike many other local places I passed by. Huge burger cooked to perfection in a brioche bun, loads of homemade coleslaw, hand cut chips and salad. Nice to see trade is picking up and there were several people eating. Friendly service from the... More

Booked a table as a party of 4 last Sunday. Been to the Arms many times under several previous owners (not always happily) so I was curious to see how it was going with the new owners. We all enjoyed our lunch and choice of beers very much, served up promptly by an enthusiastic young crew. The choice of food... More

Under New Management since the 12th September, we have refurbished this 13th century building with further plans for the future. New established well received menu including light lunches and sandwiches, seafood and mains, burgers, steaks and grills, desserts and a beautiful Sunday Roast. All our produce is locally sourced and we have an exquisite wine list including host and premium wines, and bubbly of course. family and dog friendly, we aim to cater for everyone in a warm, inviting atmosphere. brand new pool table, juke box and new bar, this public house has been shown some well deserved TLC. regular live entertainment is key and we have had a fantastic response. open from 12-12 tuesday to sunday, we finish restaurant service at 9PM. please, come and give us a try!
