What can I say?? Appalling treatment and terrible food! When we booked the table the "restaurant" (and I say that loosely) failed to mention that they were "in-between menus" and therefore half of the menu was not available to order. We were left with a list of what they had left and how many :/ Really??? Yep!! Also we were... More

We arrived to be seated and drinks ordered. Then we were told the majority of the menu was unavailable due to autumn/winter menu change and that their oven had failed. The food arrived, which was around £15 each for the main. This was simply laughable. Chicken in Cup a soup !! I had driven from North Wales for my dad's... More

We were met with a raft of excuses by the waiting staff, only one oven working so you may have to wait longer for your food, we are changing from our autumn to winter menus so there are a number of dishes unavailable, although they were still advertising their autumn menu. The chicken in cream sauce was more like chicken... More

We've eaten here twice in the last week and both occasions had an excellent plate of food. The place is much warmer and more cosy than it used to be - just glad we live close and can get there often.

My wife and I had lunch here last Sunday. I had the roast beef which was excellent and so tender. Home made horseradish sauce which was super but very hot. My wife had a real plateful of the chicken dish which she thoroughly enjoyed. Cannot praise this place enough, The staff were very efficient and friendly and the chef Should... More

I visited last night, having never been before. What a lovely surprise! The place is a little tired looking, but it has renovation plans so you can look past that. Has a lovely separate food area away from the bar, so you can chat and eat comfortably. The menu is varied and it is lovely to see so many local... More

The food was by far and away the outstanding feature of our visit. Well written and presented menu. Great tasting dishes that looked really appetising. Sadly the surroundings don't yet match the quality of the food. Very loud and totally unsuitable music made it feel a little bit like eating in a disco. A waiting team that weren't confident about...
