Had a nice meal last year so headed back for another big family meal but this time was even better. Really nice terrine, followed by figgy pork (lovely flavour and tender pork) followed by sharing 2 mousses! All very tasty. Lovely old wooden beamed interior with a nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Once again a wonderful meal at The Plough Inn, love going there. This time we have the black pudding fritters & Game terrine followed by Brewers braise and lemon sole delicious .. Could only manage one dessert between us the cherry crumble tart ( heaven ). The owners do the hospitality industry proud .

Lovely quaint old British pub, beautifully decorated for Christmas and with a log fire burning. Very reasonable price for good quality food and drinks. Staff were very helpful even though they were very busy.

Friendly, attentive staff with good ambience. On this occasion we had fish and chips - excellent crisp batter with perfectly cooked cod accompanied by reasonable chips together making a generous portion. Very good range of sweets.

Now this is what a country pub should be like! From the warm welcoming open fire, to the cosy decor and soft lighting, this looked good from the go! The menu choice is superb, so much good local seasonal fare e.g. venison, pheasant etc and some old favourites e.g. whitebait, duck and orange pate and black pudding fritters. A great... More

What a lovely pub. Very pretty setting, friendly welcome, and brilliant varied menu, with exceptionally good food. Had battered black pudding to start - fabulous moist black pudding in a light, crispy batter, with salad and chutney - almost a meal in itself. Husband had sea bass - his favourite choice - but excellent and plentiful served on a tagliatelle... More

Needed a really good Restaurant to take friends out to lunch with varied menu, and be sure that the meal would not disappoint. I had Bobotie, not often found on the menu in the U.K . Our friends had Crab au Gratin, and Sea Bass and my husband Fish Curry. All were really excellent. No room for dessert but a... More

My mate 'Harry' and I were recommended this place by a friend. What a fab recommendation .... The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the staff were so helpful. This place gets a 10/10 from me which is a high accolade indeed!! Such a lovely evening :-)
