I have loved this place for years. Despite it being a meat pub and my being a vegetarian they always did egg and chips or knocked something up for me. Alas! This Tuesday, 12th July, my birthday, I discovered they have changed. 'If it is nt on the board we do not do it'. Fine , except NO VEGETARIAN OPTIONS,... More

I have never been disappointed by a visit to the Plough. As usual the menu was varied and inviting. The only downside to dining there is that all the menu items are so lovely that it's hard to decide what to order. I highly recommend the battered cod and chips, and the creme brûlée is to die for! The old... More

We were advised to visit The Plough by people who knew exactly what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. The surroundings of the Plough are truly delightful and the setting is quite unique and peaceful. The general atmosphere and ambience of The Plough is exceptional. The food is first class. Our lemon sole was cooked to perfection.... More

You have to search this lovely cottagey pub out but it's well worth the visit. Set in a gorgeous idyllic corner on a village green complete with willow tree, the inside is welcoming & has an extensive menu board. We had a quick lunch here- crayfish & avocado salad which was very tasty & well presented. The staff are helpful &... More

We were warmly greeted when we arrived and there was a roaring fire to warm the place. You choose your meal from the boards and the variety is excellent. We then sat at our table and the landlord came to take our order. After only a short wait our starters were brought out, all hot and together. It was the... More

The Plough is in a lovely location and the welcome was warm. However, the food was particularly disappointing and over priced. What a shame as it has so much potential.

Some friends had recommended this pub to us, so we thought we'd give it a try and we're glad we did. We felt welcome as soon as we stepped inside and the staff were lovely. The menu was impressive with some unusual dishes. I ordered Rioja Lamb and my wife had Sweet n Sour chicken. The lamb was really tender,... More

First visit here. We had a lovely evening, staff very friendly & attentive and the food was of a very high standard. I loved mine - I had goat cheese melts for starter and Rioja Lamb for my main. I would highly recommend this restaurant & shall certainly visit again.

Visited on a Friday lunch time with friends after a winters walk, despite being slightly late, the greeting was very welcoming and friendly. There was a good choice on the menu and some dishes out of the ordinary and was certainly a good step from normal pub-grub, although staples such as Fish n chip were also available. The service and... More
