Milkshakes are great . The food is just mediocre and greasy. Coleslaw is terrible...too much mayonnaise.

I don’t typically stop at little drive up places because of my kids, but since I was just with adults this time, we decided to try it out. I had heard lots of good things about it. It didn’t disappoint. I mean yeah, it’s a...burger, but it was yummy and fresh and the potato munchers were awesome. I had never had something like that. Fried potato cheesy thing. But it’s awesome for eating in the car because you don’t need ketchup and it isn’t messy. Was glad I had cash on me because they don’t accept cards, though. Which is kind of a bummer. But I have nothing bad to say about the food or service. Better than what I was expecting.More
This is a hometown restaurant that you pull up to an order. There are a few tables to sit around on the outside. Mostly people eat in their cars or take it home. The food is great. I love their Stromboli.
Good food and Very reasonably priced. Easy to get in and out of. Kids love the ice cream. You'll love the price.
Great place for sandwiches and milkshakes! Fresh, hot and yummy! Prices are good. Remember that cash only. They don’t accept debit or credit cards! Never had a problem with the orders being wrong. We always call in the order and it is ready to be...picked up.More
Family evening cooking out. Didn’t take long to figure out everyone’s favorite spot for frozen treats. Milkshakes, sundaes, hot fudge cake..... the BEST!
I visited Estill County today for the annual Mushroom festival, and finally decided to take the plunge and try the Burger Barn. The atmosphere was neat. It's a tiny little shack made up to look like a barn, and your order via two little windows...in the front. You tell them what car you're in, and they'll yell/wave you down when your food is ready. The burger is solid. It's leaps and bounds above your average fast food burger, but on par with something you could make yourself at home in a cast iron skillet (homemade is always best of course). The fries are krinkle cut, but very well prepared. My wife had a chocolate milk shake (she loved it), and a I ordered the fried mushrooms as a side. It was very large, and very good. On the burgers I definitely recommend the double, as the burgers are a little on the small side. Price was also very good. We got a ton of food (2 double-burgers, a fry, a milkshake, and a big order of mushrooms) for $15. Overall, we enjoyed it a lot. It's not enough for a special trip to Irvine, but any time I find myself up that way I've definitely found my go-to burger place.More
This is a great little place to grab a bite to eat when you're on the road or just out running around town. Great food. Great service. Only draw back is they don't take bank or credit cards. It's cash or check only.
The food here is ALWAYS good. The ice here is AMAZING. I will drive across town just for a bag of ice. It hurts that they don't take debit cards but thats my only con. If you are ever in Irvine make sure to stop...by for a burger and shake.More
The food is great, but the ice cream is even better. This restaurant have been in town since 1973.... So its service speaks for itself...
