We were in Georgetown for an event at the Kentucky Horse Park and dined at Rodney's on our last evening in town to celebrate our niece's accomplishments in a riding competition. The restaurant is in a vintage building that is beautifully decorated and very comfortable....Our server Kat was superb. She took excellent care of our slightly rowdy group of nine with warmth and humor, answering our questions and special requests with patience and professionalism. Rodney himself came into our small dining room to welcome us. Everyone in our party raved about the appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Steak is the specialty here and the meat eaters were very pleased. I opted for the Grouper Piccata after Kat issued me that the fish was fresh, despite how far away utmost have been caught. As I a New Englander who eats a lot of fish, I can confirm that the fish was fresh and delicious. In the event that our nice returns to the KHP next year or after, my wife and I have every intention to revisiting this really excellent restaurant.More

We were travelling from out of state , headed to horse country. Rodney’s on Broadway is in a lovely old house in historic Georgetown KY. Food was delicious; high quality, great service, attentive friendly waitstaff. We love the Lexington area, and Rodney’s on Broadway is...well worth a visit .More

We spent 2 nights in Georgetown. We went to Rodney’s on Broadway the first night. Elizabeth was our server. She was very knowledgeable about both the food and drink menu and made excellent suggestions. We had the crab cake special and it was delicious! Huge...crab cakes with very little filler in them. We enjoyed the restaurant so much, we went back on our second night in Georgetown! We also requested to be seated in Elizabeth’s section again! She is an excellent server and really seems to enjoy working there. I had the filet and my husband had scallops. Both out of this world! If we are ever near Georgetown again, we will definitely find time to dine there! The crazy couple from Georgia!More

I am a big steak fan and try to find the best in every town I visit. Looked at reviews and asked around to find Rodney's. it did not disappoint! A little high priced in my opinion but the steak was amazing and cooked to...perfection so I cannot complain too much about the price. I also had homemade French Onion soup and it was very good. Highly recommendMore

Dined July 23, 2021. Server was Stacy who was extremely knowledgeable and made some great suggestions. Only my second time there. I live in LEX and travel the U.S. and this is as good as it gets. It is just as good as Tony's and...Jeff Ruby's in Lexington - warning- it is also just as expensive. But the service, presentation and quality of food was tremendous! We had the filet, divers scallops and shrimp, the crabcake app with potato casserole, kale and mexican flavored grits. All the desserts looked great but we had no room. Rodney came to all the table to check on the diners. Bill for two with 4 drinks was $183 plus tip. Go there!More

My sister and I chose to dine at Rodney’s on a whim. We had no idea that we were about to experience a most memorable meal! The lobster bisque was a perfect balance of flavors. Our salads were an art form featuring Campari tomatoes. But...the highlight was the fresh, Alaskan haddock. Served on a bed of perfectly cooked grits, the fish was delectable. The fish was topped with a savory sauce including shoepeg corn cut from the cob and finished with swirls of Hollandaise. The variety of textures and flavors made my mouth so happy that I am at a loss for words to describe. Rodney is a master!More

As a road warrior the first thing I notice and appreciate is feeling welcomed as though my server is a people person who love people especially after a long week on the road. I know the difference in those that are there for the pay-check/tip...and those who want to truly serve. I have enjoyed how comforting it is to sit down in front of any of this staff. It's the next best thing to being home and greeted by family glad to see you! The food is amazing. You'll feel they are cooking just for you. This place HAS IT ALL. It reminds me of the long lost days of Supper Clubs where every town had several. Rodney's is a Rarity. It's an event. Hope they never leave. Wish they would hold seminars for other restaurants and staff on how to do it right!!!More

The Duck is worth the “price of admission” trip... seafood chowder (when available) is as good as you’ll find on the coast... Rodney’s great with his dressings, soups and sauces. But ask for substitutions. They are rare.

We had a date night here and it was overall a good experience. We started with the calamari appetizer and I liked it even though I’m usually not a fan of that. My husband shared a bite of his tomato soul soup and it was...divine. He had the sea bass on grits with asparagus which had a nice flavor with a little Cajun kick. I had the filet mignon and panko crusted baked potato. I was a bit disappointed with my filet as I didn’t taste any seasoning on it at all and it was quite bland. We split the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was extremely thick and rich, but not exceptional. I wanted to try the carrot cake, but he won. The ambiance is very nice and we had great service. We each had one glass of wine and with tip, our meal was right at $200 so for us, it’s a place to go for a special occasion and not an every day dinner out.More
