After rejecting another restaurant up the street because of smokers, we decided to try New Garden for lunch. Small,nice dining room and great lunch menu deals! I had enough food to bring home for dinner, too!

Was excellent meal. Great service, food was delicious. Decor is cozy and beautiful. We ordered way to much. Been a long time since we have had such good Chinese. Can not wait for next doctor appointment so we can stop by again!

Got take out food. Absolutely tasteless as if it had been in a pot cooking for weeks! Sweet and sour chicken only had breaded chicken pieces, sweet sauce and no vegetables at all. Hot and sour soup tasted like dishwater. Vegetable fried rice was not fried and had very few vegetables. Could hardly eat anything, so threw it all away. What I did eat caused intestinal problems the next day. Called and spoke with someone who spoke almost no english and got no explanation or apologies. All she said was “same cook”, whatever that means. Do not get food from this place!!!

My wife and I frequent here at least once every week. They pretty much know our order every time we come in. The food is always excellent and quick to come out.

First time here. Wife got General Tso chix which was nice and crisp in a good sauce. She ate every bite while at first saying there was enough to take some home. She pulled out a little zuchini which probably did not belong in the recipe but everything was good. I got Mongolian beef. No scallions and loaded w green peppers and onion. Probably because scallions are scarce this time of year. Tasty but not the best. Great pork egg roll. Dinner price was reasonable. We will be back as there are few GOOD Chinese restaurants in the area.

Across from the VA in Ft Thomas, you will find one of the best Chinese restaurants in NKY and Greater Cincinnati. The food is not only great but very reasonable Our family orders from New Garden at least once a week. Egg rolls, spring rolls and won tons are exceptional.

My friend and I went to New Garden for the first (and only) time. I wish it had been as good as the reviews I read online but instead was so disappointing! I ordered Hot and Sour soup. The soup I got was neither hot nor sour. It looked and tasted like a can of Veg-all was dumped into hot water. There was no peppery heat or vinegar "bite" found in a good H&S soup. There was no resemblance to H&S soup: no mushrooms, bamboo shoots, tofu or scallions, just carrots, potatoes and celery, none of which I've ever seen in H&S soup. I asked the waitress and the cook if it was H&S soup and they both said "yes". I told the waitress it had no flavor and she took it off our bill. We both ordered Chicken Pad Thai. We noticed the waitress didn't ask us how "hot/spicy" we wanted it. As it turned out, it was spicy level "zero" and was so flavorless it was like eating nothing. The waitress was pleasant. The service was slow due to staff shortage. Would have been reasonably priced if the food was better. Cute location. Needs to hire a cook who knows how to make authentic, flavorful Asian dishes. Maybe their other dishes are better but I won't return to find out. We left feeling like we needed to go somewhere else to get something to eat.

The restaurant is nestled in the business district of Fort Thomas. The menu includes sushi and is quite vast. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very large. The family that owns the restaurant is very nice and always remembers the customers. Great place to eat !!!

Nice selection of Chinese dishes as well as some Japanese items like sushi. Great service and large portions at a very reasonable price. I had the shrimp pad Thai with a spring roll and my friend had the Mongolian Beef with an egg roll. Both meals were delicious and prepared with good quality ingredients. Looking forward to trying the sushi and several other dishes. Nice touch is after your meal they bring a half of an orange quartered with a tooth pick in it for easy pick up. Nice way to cleanse your pallet.

Great place to order carry out or to dine in. The food is amazing and the price is very cheap. this is our only option we go too.

When we moved to Fort Thomas, New Garden was the first restaurant that we visited. And the 2nd. And the 3rd. (It took a while for the moving truck to arrive.) It is now our go-to place whenever we crave Chinese food, and we usually stop by several times a month. We all have our favorites, and it seems that sesame chicken, Hunan beef, and bourbon chicken are ordered the most often by us.
I have never had the same hot-and-sour soup across Chinese restaurants, and I like their version, which has a small amount of fresh tomato.

Eh. Not impressed. Stopped in for lunch. Hubs got the Szechuan chicken. I took a bite and had w mouth of chicken skin. Gross. I ordered the Spider man roll. ($11.00) Thought it was small, bland and unappetizing. Iced tea was even bad. Orange at the end was cute and best thing I had to eat. Won't be back.

Newer restaurant in Ft Thomas that has average food but a good value. You get large portions so you have plenty to fill you up and maybe even some for leftovers.

Not as good as some; not as bad as others. Would eat there again because it's close, but there are some other places not that far away that we might visit over this establishment. Overall, it's decent food at a good price.
