We happened upon this restaurant after we discovered there was a big festival in Glendale and we would not get to eat at the Whistle Stop. Atmosphere was very cozy and nice. Interesting decorations throughout. My three other diners had a hot brown which she said was delicious. Another diner had the open faced roast beef and loved it. My... More

Back Home offers several menu items for everyone. The food is delicious but my favorite is the atmosphere. It's very cozy with friendly servers that make you feel welcome.

Spending the night in Elizabethtown KY and not wanting to eat at a franchise restaurant, we opted for the Back Homes Restaurant. It was a short drive from our hotel by the freeway. While it does not serve alcohol, the food was worth the trip. It's wholesome, home cooked meals. Fried green tomatoes were very good.

Cute old house with delicious food, friendly staff, good service. There is a very good boutique on the second floor which should not be missed.

Food was good, service was excellent, decor was warm and comfortable. We were worried because a huge group went in right before us, but our food came out quickly. The fried green tomatoes were delicious.

Stopped here on our way home from Nashville. The restaurant is a neat older looking brick building. There is a crafty shop downstairs and a cute boutique upstairs. For a late lunch, we had the hot brown and chicken fried chicken. Both were delicious and service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be back!

My roommates and I really enjoyed the food here, so much that we returned a few weeks later. The southern style home cooked meals are great. The only thing I felt wasn't perfect was the service by our first server but the second time it was great!

Lunch was good but had hoped for better. Hostess/cashier very nice but server was not as friendly. Shrimp and grits portion was MUCH smaller than expected for price and certainly did not expect raw chunks of green pepper and something similar to French's Fried Onions on top. Hot Brown was extremely salty. Really liked the atmosphere. Will give it another... More

Such an awesome find in E-Town! I had my first Kentucky Hot Brown here, and it was delicious! The cobbler is amazing as well. Cute atmosphere and outstanding service!
